All of my teammates in Killing Floor - A thread of fails

This morning. 6p sui westlondon, holding in front of the church. I played as support and we did quite well. Wave 6, The commando holding the position near the subway called out a scrake and i immediately responded with "I'm coming, clear the trash around it". I pistol pulled the scrake, switched to my katana and just before I could do a swing the commando started spamming his SCAR into that scrakes face. -.- I managed to finish the scrake off leaving me with 10 hp, to die a second later by a crawler that raped me from behind, were that commando AND a medic were standing.

Dafug over 9000.

These are the most face palmy kind of deaths because sometimes the players congratulate themselves for sucking. Like "Well we tried to save you from that scrake, I guess you just suck [more than we do]". Any attempt to educate them is met with "whatever bro, you're dead and we're alive, obviously you suck".

Exactly. Seems like you were spectating that game. I got something to add though, missed that im my last post... After they made it barely through round 6 and I respawned on wave 7, no one gave me a single pound. The medic that picked up my katana after I died sold it and bought a M7A1 (sure, what else? ). They all got some cash left after they bought their stuff but no one gave me a single pound. The "Trollmando" told me in the chat "you're lvl6, u spawn with a gun" (he was lvl 5...)

Not very surprising that we died early in that round, wiped by a raged fleshpound (guess who raged it? anyone? no? )

Awesome. I really should turn on Dxtory more often, too bad that I haven't recorded that.

I still remember trying to take a FP with just AA-12 spam, and getting shocked that it didn't work

Yeah. I can see why. With all of the game play mechanics that change. Rather than just having powerful guns and being good at FPSs, you really have to learn the ins and outs of the game to really be successful.

I should totally get FRAPs and record myself playing sui. How to failcut a scrake, how to NOT kill a FP (and rage it), how to not look around corners and get bloated, etc etc. It would be completely glorious in all the wrong ways.

Oh, AA12 spam. I've already seen that fail a couple of times. =x

Playing water works on sui. Finally get my supp loadout with most of my ammo/nades/armor full. I start running back to the spot we were holding with a medic and a FB. You know the area with the van in the middle of the room that people like to hold? As I was dropping down the hole in that room, I hear welding behind me. Turns out the three OTHER people were planning on holding out in there, without saying anything. Five seconds later, the wave starts. FB goes afk for some reason, medic is hurping, all of the zeds are spawning near us. I'm not too familiar with the level but I save the medic a couple of times. Then after the medic and FB die, so do I. Then a combat medic with a m7a3 says, "It's your guys fault, you didn't stick with us," when they didn't say anything and were behind us. orz

So I got pub n' scrub'd on my own server last night.... Thankfully nobody else was recording in my place for a part of the pub floor series.

I decided to pipe H@ P@ as usual, nothing out of the norm. Hoarded about 12k dosh by wave 8, so my H@ dosh was prepared for the big guy.

The whole game I had been messing with my one friend that was in the game with me and the 4 pubs. My friend and I tossed 1's at eachother between and during waves to get the pubs attention, immediately ceasing dosh stream once they would enter it.

So long story short, we carried the pubs all the wave to p@ and decided to both pipe h@. Bad idea. We completely forgot who the rest of our 'team' composed of.
-A level 3 M14 sharp who I swear got about 5 headshots the whole game
-A level 4 firebad who played on support all game with a flamethrower
-A level 6 demo who made vision beyond 5 feet impossible after wave 7
-A level 4 medic who was intent on shooting everything with his medguns but only healing with his syringe...and only healing himself.

So pat wave rolls around after a great deal of carrying, my friend and I pipe hat and immediately charge pat. I went first but got invisismacked by pat, which decreased the damage of my h@ to about 2500 ~ pathetic. Friend charged pat and got a successful bombing, pat had to heal after running off.

We figured the pubs could handle it from there. We had placed about an extra 30 pipes in the area where they were panicking. There was no way they could mess this up.

Well needless to say, they messed it up. They managed to get P@ down to his last heal, but in the process also got anti-jihad rocketed while standing on pipes. GG.

P@ survived with 2% health...

Playing Solo for a bit on Manor, at one point I find myself faced with a Husk. Can't remember why, but I ended up chucking a frag grenade at him, not paying attention to the fact that he was charging up his fireball.
The fireball collided with the grenade in mid-air a split-second after I threw it, causing it to literally explode in my face, killing me instantly. Whoops

So its pat wave and things are going normally. Firebugs dropping fire bombs like a bread crumb trail and reading up their FLASH launcher. People gearing up with their best weaponry and begging for money.

Pat spawns within line of sight of spawn and a whole bunch of firebugs fire their FLASH and incinerate themselves due to its weird sense of friendly fire. Pat runs off for his first heal and I chase him down being the sanic hadgehag speed medic I am.

I manage to reach pat and start to melee lock him, to my dismay, an engineer comes out of nowhere and fires an AR2 ball at pat. The engineer was too close to the shot and thus, vaporized himself. Though it was a direct hit and pat runs off from my beautiful melee lock. Now pat spawns a bunch of scrakes while off on his 2nd heal. These scrakes annihilate all but 4 people (myself included).

I return to spawn while somebody welds my armor back up. Pat makes the scene and our firebug fires at him, making him run off for his 3rd heal. This time fleshpounds spawn and I'm off like a bat out of hell as they wreck the remaining team.

So now its just me, about 18 fleshpounds and the patriarch. I go sanic hadgehag fast (153% movement speed to be exact) around the map, kiting raging FP's. As I make my 2nd lap around the map, I see the patriarch having a battle of fistycups with 2FP's.

I run around the map one more time to get all the other FP's away (some have a heart attack from all the adreneline) and then I return to the scene where pat is still having a fist fight with 2 FP's. This time I intervene and start smacking him in the back with my light saber.

After about 10 hits, he goes down and in all my excitement I smashed my suicide key to kill the feel.

Needless to say, people we're lolling halfway into the next game. That is the 4th time I've done that in a similar fashion. Lone survivor, kill pat and suicide.

Definitely a modded server. Sounds neat though.

Got shouted at for using the M14 as a Sharpshooter in a HoE game last night. Apparently I needed the Xbow to even stand a chance at surviving, and when I tried to explain why I was using the M14, I was called a scrub and got kicked by the team. Baddies will be bad.

lol, I was in the test server with another guy and i said EBR is really good for killing fleshpounds, you can do it in 10 headshots if you practice it.

he was killing FP's with the crossbow at the time and said he can do it with 2 shots of the crossbow.

So i went filled the server up with Freshmeat, and asked him to give it another go.

He killed it in like 6 shots, and injured... all he said was "Hmmm"

He was allright, but a full HOE you are probably better off with the EBR thasn Xbow

You might have been the one who showed me how to use the EBR properly? in the test server seeing you are from AUS. ?

Yeah, X-bow is trashy on suicidal and above. EBR is far better though it requires some team coordination so the SS can get those fps/scrakes without any rages damaging anyone.

From level 6 to 10 all of them die every round and I'm left to kill all the zombies. Level 10 I see the msg "You are the only one left", there are 268 zombies left. I have a Katana, MK23, 9mm and a crossbow. I manage to kill all of them and we make it to the Patriarch only to get killed and loose the game. Fail!!

That is why you must get really good at melee locking and pressing your suicide key quickly.

I didn't get any really frustrating stories so far but everytime I play hard difficulty pubs, (ye that's the only problem I believe) I tend to bicker with someone about some stuff.

So far, I only remember going zerk on a hard server with level4 and below players. Soloing the 10th wave on Biotics Hard with like 23 hp all the time since halfway. I think team got a huge backspawn because they welded the mid door close to spawn and everyone gone forth.

Welded doors behind me to recover, kiting last 2 fleshpounds making large turns on corners to not get caught to gorefasts, crawlers, evading husk shots and etcetera. I had put all the theoretical skill I knew and it worked somehow. We reached final wave and we gone like the wind to hell (33 secs~) because someone standing on pipes and when I try to tank Patri, 2 other people tried to come close to him.

Also I remember a level4 Commando in Suicidal Westlondon which almost got me killed to Fleshpound while I'm trying to kite it. I bickered told him to not shoot FP, he answered "ye if you can stun FP with axe why not bro, lol".

Since I tend to being a dick to lowbie players I keep that manner in high level servers, sometimes people team up against me to get me killed but I don't care. I'm not a griefer anyway.

Anyway; last night on Wyre, after grtting myself killed multiple times due to amazing Internet and general scrubbiness, the team I was on managed to make it to Pat wave. We got our gear, and decided to hold on the rooftop of thr bunker like building. To cut to the chase, Patty wrecked 2-3 people straight off the bat (one got hit off the building then chased down, 'cause Pat is a douche like that), and chased another one who managed to back himself into an alcove where he thought he would be safe, only to get chain gunned, leaving only myself and one other guy alive. Pat came for me first (I was on the roof) so I quickly jumped off, ran inside and thought I could do some pro juking by running up stairs from the inside. Turns out Pat was smarter than I expected, because he anticipated my move. When I got to the door way, I tried to open it and run out, only for Pat to be standing there with hid chest penis at the ready. He beat me into submission and had his way with me in the corner...

The last surviving guy ran, but he didn't get far; Pat's Chest Penis was not yet sated. We died (amazingly), we laughed, and kinda regretted not recording it; there were some good deaths there.

Kind of, last time I insisted on playing Firebug at late waves and people teamed up to kill me. Happened twice before and an admin kicked me once for that way before.
Dunno what's wrong with playing Firebug if you can hold your fire and burn Sirens?
