AKM/Type 56 stock angle completely incorrect, SVD chamber is...solid chunk of metal?

For a company that prides itself on authentic weapons...this is pathetic.

Stock angle wrong on AKM.

If model change is so expensive, at least fix it in the menus.

Look into chamber of SVD; there's a solid block of dirt/rust/steel that would realistically prevent anything from being inserted into the rifle...
Currently the magazine just glitches through it.

Also, that is NOT how SVD handguard is laminated, what is shown in-game is copied straight from cheap airsoft guns.
Real SVD handguard is bent laminated wood, so laminate layer should only show near where two pieces of handguard connect.
As can be seen here:

Hopefully this gets fixed before game gets out of beta.
Oh wait...

It's still there.

You seem very dedicated to these bugs and you have a good eye for detail. But I think as nice as it would be to fix these things, the developers have higher priority things on their to-do list. After all, if they prided themselves on authentic weapons they would only give the flame thrower 5 igniter cartridges that last about 8 seconds each ( https://youtu.be/aPQYK5ZMbWY?t=15m18s ). Average players in the game don't care much for these details, heck, people call the AC-47 an AC-130 and call the Cobra an Apache. Not to mention how people think claymore mines actually work. They play for fun & realism, not realism and then fun.

For AKM I can understand your point, but could it not be possible that what we see is just some crude Chinese made stock? https://youtu.be/A6cqYLdIqmI?t=1m4s

As with SVD I still see this, yes.

But the magazine just clips through in the end anyway, they may have just been lazy to cut an opening.

I do think they will fix these one day though, because they did fix the c96 in Red Orchestra 2 after many years of it using PPSh sounds.

People also call BTR-80s in Squad "striker."
This is a niche game, details do matter; because at the end of the day, only hardcore players will remain, and plenty of such players would care about details.
(not that this game is all that realistic considering the spawn system and rather linear map design)

Not all AK stock is interchangeable, I don't think rear trunnion of Type 56 (thus stock) is the same as AKM's. (should be something like the difference between AK and AKM)

Not to mention there would be no reason to make extra stocks for AKM since AKM stock is pretty much better in every way.

Also, I zoomed in on screenshot and found giant gap between receiver and top cover, after bolt, that shouldn't exist since left side of top cover do not have that gap.

With SVD the top of handguard really need to be fixed if model is so hard to change, because it's just cheap airsoftgun look.

True, this is a niche game, or rather series of games. Though with this game they really tried to get new people introduced to the series. They removed unlocking weapons modifications and class levels. Then they changed the control layout and finally added easy tutorials to the game. And the best thing going for this game is the guns as you stated earlier. Although I don't know why they removed the cover system that was in previous games, where you could take cover behind an object and also blind fire over it. Probably has to do with them removing bots along side this.

I suppose you are right about the stocks. Now that I look at it, it seems the weapon artist (Pedro Amorim) just copied and pasted the same stock on the AK's. So he is to blame for these things.

Suprising they did not ask for advice from Ian McCollum, do not see his name in credits. Battlefield 1 developers gave special thanks to him in their game, haha.

I hope this game is gateway drug to get people into more milsim games instead of just another pandering to CoD-players.
I think the cover system was glitchy and required too much work from mappers or something.

Is Pedro Amorim on forums? Or do I have to reach him by email?

Definitely should have gotten Ian to weigh in on this; I'm pretty sure he had videos on both SVDs and Type 56s.
