AK vs Scar?

In terms of clearing crawlers, M14 sharpshooter do better than commando now. One body shot kill is a really big difference.

For now, you can consider ak and SCAR as the same gun. They do nearly everything using same number of shots. Well, if I can I would rather pick up 2 aks. Bigger clip size is helping A LOT in many cases.

The scar does more damage per bullet but the AK has more bullets in a mag. Therefor you can do more damage with an AK with one mag.

scar should be buffed because it was not great in the start pre patch and now its even worse. the thing can hardly take out fps/scrakes even though its not meant to but then reduce the price of it since it doesn't do that much more damage than the ak.

Doubtful. I asked him if anything was being done to the SCAR and he said no then switched to Commando and rocked face with it for a few waves.

I used to want the SCAR buffed too, but I've thought about it and I've realized that it's fine. It can still one-shot all the crappy zeds. What more do you guys want?

I can rape with it too, but it still sucks. It doesn't one shot anything, if you are playing on suicidal. It won't even kill a crawler with a bodyshot. A headless gorefast takes 2 bodyshots to put down. It is weaker than the 9mm sharp lvl 6. One hs from 9mm will drop a gorefast.

The SCAR's pathetic damage combined with a slow reload drops the DPS. I do much better with the AK, and the few times I bought the SCAR after the update, I always wished I had stuck with the pup. The bullpup is actually better than the SCAR now, instantaneous reload, laser accuracy, it's weak, but bursts to the head will still drop stuff, even on suicidal.

The SCAR needs either a damage increase or a faster reload to be competitive again.

I prefer the AK-47 over the SCAR for two reasons
1) Real men use iron sights.
2) I'm a Soviet fanboy.

I'm also slightly a Soviet fan, because i've heard the AK47 is awesome in almost every way. AK107/108 are actually accurate so the AK47 is pretty much the best assault rifle i can see. Recoil has a kick though.

I digress.

AK47 for short-medium ranges, Bullpup for the same plus LMG duties, SCAR for all of the above (bar LMG duties) plus sniper duties.

This. I can take heads off all the way across the map with AK. I am not sure why it has a rep for inaccuracy.

It's inaccurate when it's full-auto compared to the other guns.

To me, it definitely feels more accurate than the Scar. The AK's ironsight is much tighter.

I'd have to agree, the AK's ironsight is pretty beast if you can use it well.

I've always been an AK > SCAR kind of guy.

The scar used to be good, and i liked it. But now i'd rather use an AK/pup combo. Now that the scar can't even kill a crawler in one shot the clear winner is obvious.

Again, it's not the damage that makes the Scar subpar. It's just not really worth it over the AK.

Or you could just use the AK and have 35 bullets left over instead of 23. The Ak also has a quicker reload too if I'm not mistaken.
