herp derp "omg you twists my words!"

newsflash buddy, I never argued that Ro1 was more realistic. Hell I admitted it had problems. So who is the one twisting others words? You

I pointed out the issues with tanks in RO2 and expanded on why people feel they are pointless to play. I never compared the two games.

Sure, the damage models and ballistics are better, but I've heard plenty of hardcore tankers who know more about those two aspects than I do, complain about inaccuracies.

Again, get a grip. You are clearly in a bad mood.

Yes, yes I am. Reading this forum tends to cause it.

I'm sure you don't understand what I'm saying. Your English is awful. Either you don't know how to describe things in a coherent manner or you expect everyone to just know what you're thinking when you're typing brief skimming of your thoughts. And you take that and complain that other people are retarded.
You are the one who needs to take more lessons in English and read what the hell you're writing.
So you base all your knowledge about WW2 tanks on tank sims? Congrats. You fail to see the picture as a whole and project your arguments as narrowly as possible and yet you think everybody else is being parochial. You're a hypocrite of the worst kind.

By and far DiedTrying has been the most reasonably voiced poster regarding RO2. He only simply stated that RO2 has it's weakness as well as RO1 does.
Yes, do us a favor and not bother with the RO2 forum community that you just single handedly insulted because of your ineptitude.

Picture as a whole?

Tanks in RO2 are more realistic than tanks in RO1. It's simple. Sure, RO2 has unrealistic quirks like the instant repair-boxes and aimbotting gunners, but they're far less annoying than BA-64 not getting penetrated by a Tiger because it's at magical angle.

Gameplay in RO2 will probably be better as well, after the aimbot is gone. There is MORE room for teamplay, despite the AI, because now commander can focus on commanding and doesn't have to shoot - except in T34, where he had to do it in real life too.

And am I insulting the RO2 community or the "everything was better in RO1"-'community' you guys seem to have going on here? Nothing drives away players from this game as effectively as the RO:OST-people on these forums. If you manage to kill this game, we're left with COD152435 and Battlefield 45 in the future. Is that how you want it?

Let me just say that what I read in your post is your opinion.
Mechanics of the tanks are more realistic. Angling provide advantage, but shouldn't be as drastic as in RO1. When you say 'gameplay in RO2 will probably be better as well..', that's another hypothetical, which fails to convince anyone.
And I'm not just confining it to the tanks either when I talk about the overall game. Besides, there only few servers that are consistently populated and that server disables the tanks.

Like it or not, RO2 community is an amalgam of people who are unahppy and who are happy.
You said yourself that you didn't like RO1, so you didn't play it. It's the same thing happening except the people who liked RO1 didn't like RO2 so they're stopping. Now that you have a game that you like you're fighting teeth and nail to retain it. Well guess what? RO1 faithfuls are doing the same to get back what they believe they lost.
You can't pin the playerbase dropping from 2700 to mere 300 in 3 months entirely on what goes on in the boards.
You starting flamewars doesn't help the condition of the boards any either.
If RO dies (which it already looks like it is), and CoD and BF are the only games left, I would just move on. I'd rather not play a game that I can't enjoy or force myself to enjoy. People do have other hobbies than gaming.

I dont like the tanks in ro2, they are nearly useless. The Tanks drive arround and do nothing for the teamplay, standing in some corners and waiting. If you remember how deadly the tanks were in Roost or Darkest Hour. The tanks very so much stronger, it was so great advancing in cover behind an attacking tank. At the moment i dont fear the tanks, i hope TWI will fix them, removing the Stupid AI and so on.

Didn't like RO? I had over 300 hours of OST and DH combined.

So did you like it or not?
I have over 80 hours on RO2. Some times I'm forced to play it for a few minutes when there are no populated servers for RO late at night when I can't go to sleep.

Why would I play something I don't like for over 300 hours?

Of course, it was an amazing game back then. RO2 improved on nearly every aspect and I'm confident it will be damn near perfect before next summer.

RO2 wins, still. Because armour values are correctly calculated
Bull. Tell that to the 784(r)/PTRS. Armored Beasts and its Darkest Hour derivative blow vanilla RO I/RO II tanking out of the water. In fact RO II should hire the AB/DH people to fix this mess...

PTRS is again broken, it was the same with PTRD in the original.
