I have been waiting ages for the game to be playable with decent fps and no stuttering. I made allot of noise about the performance early on, given numerous examples, and was confirmed that it was not my hardware's fault, especially when people with lower systems can play the game a whole lot smoother.

MSI 6950 TwinFrozR oc power edition 2gb
Phenom X6 3ghz
8gb Ram
750w PSU

1440x900

Graphics settings - barely any noticeable difference between ultra and lowest (stuttering becomes even worse on lowest)

My protection i.e. antivirus etc. has been set to gaming mode (it doesn't interfere)

Also using game booster, have latest drivers and disabled steam client.

I still get fps below 30 and not to mention the constant stuttering from firing the gun, or even just turning the corner. I would absolutely adore this game if it wasn't for the abysmal performance. This should have been fixed already, why have I still got no fix?

I dont get it, My spec is below yours and Im running the game at 1920 x 1080 all setting set to ultra except shadows turned to low, and bloom checked off. V sync set to on. Game looks soooo sweet.

Frames are capped at 60 but hardly ever dip below 40. May hit in the 30's at the start of a 64 player server. I think my eyes may be used to the xbox360 running most games at 30 fps. LoL.

PhenomII x4 965 Black Edition ~3.4ghz
4 gig ram (soon to be 16, hurry UpS)
geforce 550 TI

Hope they get it sorted for ya friend, we need the players! :)

This pisses me off :p btw, I have a 1920 X 1080 tv, but I'm stuck at 1440 X 900, because I cant find any higher in the options. While I know going up to 1920 x 1080 isn't going to help my performance, I figure if I'm gonna play a game that runs like ****, it might as well look good. How do you change it?

in-game settings. then video. then set screen res at whatever you want. best to make it match your monitor.

Sounds to me as if RO2 did not read your video specifications correctly when it loaded.
Did you perhaps at one point download one of the betas that came out after the release?

Regardless, have you tried deleting your ...\Documents\My Games\RedOrchestra2 folder? The files will regenerate themselves when you start RO2.

And FYI, that folder is where your .ini files are located and doesn't get overwritten when you reinstall RO2.

I was in the beta, played that for a while, then downloaded the retail when it came out, then when another beta came out I downloaded that and tested. My settings and configurations went batty. Letting the config files regenerate by deleting the folder cured the problem.

Good luck.

Im guessing this won't delete my stats and saves?

also, do you know how I can change my resolution to 1920 x 1080p?
it doesn't give the option, in well...the options.

you should have 1280x720, 1600x900 and 1920x1080. if you don't, you have a problem. either you didn't dl the needed file or perhaps the game doesn't recognize your video card as being able to display at that setting? you should have made a post about the missing resolution setting, rather than one saying "Ages since release, and fps still piss poor! " . twi might have taken more notice.
i poked around in my files trying to find the graphics settings to copy for you. no luck. if you want to tell me the path to them, using windows 7, 64 i'll be glad to post them for you.
if not, you should start a post asking why you're missing the 1920x1080 resolution and then ask what else is wrong with your computer to keep you from playing at an acceptable framerate.
did yesterdays patch help your fps at all?

I got it today, and it did actually. Much, much less stutter, and decent fps...playable for the first time since release! The post was originally about my fps, not my resolution, but I'll go ahead and make a new one at some point. It could be because I recently upgraded my TV from 1404 x 900 to 1920 x 1080.

Don't know how the saves work, but I know you wouldn't have lost your stats. Steam saves them.

If you were worried about your saves you could have simply deleted only the ...\Documents\My Games\RedOrchestra2\ROGame\Config folder.

For others that might have the problem, how did you fix your resolution problem?

I deleted the RedOrchestra2 folder, all stats were kept and it recognises my new tv resolution. We should probably let this thread die now, seeing as my problems have been solved.
