Yea but I saw that in reality they had a detonator. They just pulled the capse and it blew if you had a detonator. I would like to have the kamikazes just like the terrorists in the old Generals game from EA if you ever played it. Quote " I will make this sacrifice "

What did you see that in reality had a detonator? And where did you see that? I don't believe anyone manufactured a suicide satchel...

I think I saw that in letters from Iwo jima and if they used it on planes why wouldn't have they use it on infantry. At least make the japanese satchel charges have detonators, men of war makes use of them very good in game I wonder why cant they be puted in red orchestra too? So that they would be a perfect counter for the americans. Because suicide isn't used as a mass weapon as it was in actual battles back in the day. I think with this ideea the suicide characteristic of the japanese will begin to flourish.

Kind of irrelevant without any tanks in RS, but Japanese infantry did use a suicide weapon against US tanks. The "lunge mine" supposedly had six inches (150mm) of penetration and really could only be used in a way that would kill the operator.

Given that there were men willing to use this weapon, it is plausible that explosive-laden men might have been used during the many last-ditch banzai charges that took place.

Having said that, I think such a class would be incredibly annoying and I wouldn't want to see it in RS.

They were actually planning to add it but scrapped it at the last second like 70% of their planned content.

And what's wrong with it? It's not unlike creeping on a tank with an AT grenade in Red Orchestra, but you die in the process and get extra points for Suicide Kill.

The Rising Storm mod team. They were originally planning to add so much stuff, but then they went official and cut out most of it.

Imagine if Rising Storm had stayed a mod. It would've been a whole different game, and a much better game than what we have now imo.

Yes there's american voice lines in game that reference suicide AT soldiers.

I doubt staying a mod would of been any better. Becuase they would of kept it all secret. Keeping it all secret is the main issue with mods not getting off the ground. Heroes of the West relies heavily on 3rd party content and freelancers. Only way you're gonna get them is by releasing a playable build straight away and being open gathering a lot of support.

Rising storm remaining a mod would of ended up like the many other RO2 mods.
