I wonder if this amount of MKBs is by design.

If so, no fix from TWI will be coming.

When I was playing TF2 every day, I found that I -hated- snipers with the burning passion of a thousand suns, so I devoted myself to becoming a dedicated anti-sniper using a lot of the strategies in this thread:

I get the sense that there needs to be a similar style of strategy dedicated to dealing with MKBs, at least until the class numbers are fixed by TWI or mods.

I'll probably try the gun a few times, but I just won't be able to keep using it as it would destroy the immersion for me.

Im getting the feeling the number of MKBs is by design. So I wouldn;t expect any change on this from TWI.

TWI probably doesn;t want to piss a certain crowd off, who got drawn into the game by the swat boxart.

Whatever it is they do, they seem to have a massive phobia of giving the community information.

These complete information blackouts we get between patches needs to stop.

they should give the ppsh drum mag unlock in the next patch along with bolaction rifle accuracy and zero recoil.

That will do, ofcourse they will balance things out the good way, Iam confident on that.

Now I'll just try and enjoy the game and don't pick too many cqb maps.
'cus the MKB woops to many asses :(

Lol, you cant compare TF2 to RO2. TF2 has genius balancing, and everything has sort of a "counter", be it tactic, weapon or class.
While RO has realistic weapons (in terms of damage etc), which are "unbalanced" as they should be, in unrealistic amounts w/ even more unbalancing unlocks or downgrades, depends the weapon and how you look at it ---> sillybalance and Mkb > All.

Only "strategy" I recommend is stop playing until, like you wrote, they fix the numbers.

No recoil rifles?

Making other weapons more powerful to be balanced with strong guns will probably end up in every weapon be a beam rifle.

Balance can come from other things,

Like limited availability, reduced mobility, compared to smg's.

I don't like the whole 'make other weapons stronger to balance it' thing.

The people moaning about it are probably just the cheapskates who didn't want to buy the DDE and are annoyed that the real fans got a decent weapon without level grinding.

You need to stop half the german team carrying these - it's a joke

and not a very funny one, and yes a I got DDE and yes i'm a long time RO player

It isn't going to be very long before no one wants be russian on any map.

as soon as you kill someone with one some else picks it up now you got two of em - so on and so forth.

enjoyed the beta, but this is not fun you need to stop people carrying more than one weapon at time for starters

I'd suggest just unlocking everything for everyone and then we can see whether the game is balanced and how much tweaking is necessary.

Here is an idea, how about we actually use realistic numbers of whatever weapons were actually present in the battle of Stalingrad instead of giving everyone experimental prototypes.

If unlocks is a must they could have so easily made fitting and realistic ones.
How about a grenade bundle for the German assault and a Molotov cocktail for the Russian counterpart for instance?

After the release I'm trying to introduce more people into my community with adjectives like "authentic, realistic" but TWI is making me look silly after ninja-moves like these.

happened to me as well... I'm trying so hard to like that game but at the moment i just cant... i dont really have a problem with the mkb42 itself, there is just to many of them

RO2 has about as much immersion as DoD Source at the moment.

I don't feel like playing anymore, and that sucks. The game itself is pretty good, but this just kills the immersion, and to me, that's a big thing.

Not to mention the current balance.

The unlocks are a bunch of a fail. LVL 25 weapon to get a unlock? Most of my guns are 4-7 lvl range cuz I dont like using same weapon over and over. I doubt ill even still play this bugged game before I reach 25.. so unlocks are so stupid i dont get it..

I think TW forgot about the players and saw $$$$ signs only
