Because a tank has 3 human controllable slots. So in the 3 tank scenario if the three commanders choose to lock their tanks, the other 6 crewmen can't play as tankers.
That's not a gameplay balancing thing ( like restricted classes ), it's simply a player/players choosing not to share and causing others to lose out![]()
the tank in the latest vid has 4 spots, i agree about the sharing i hope people do share... i know i will, im sure some servers will not let people be tank hogs either
No, I think he has stated that pIV will have up to 4 human players... right?
3 and 1 AI loader, either way one player can dictate whether or not the other 2 players ( or more ) per tank get a game.
Confirmation on this? Does that mean Panzer IV's wont be able to load up with four human players, even though there are four playable positions??
From here.JG: The AI Crew doesn’t count toward the playercount. On combined arms maps, the infantry are good for fighting in the buildings and the tanks are good in the open areas. So for the players it will be a decision of where they want to allocate their human players. For example, let’s say you are playing with 64 players and there are ten tanks. You could have 1 human player in each tank with a full AI Crew and then have 54 infantry players. Or you could have 30 human players in tanks (3 human players filling the playable positions in each tank) and then only have 24 infantry players. Or you could do something in between.
Ramm has mentioned in a couple of interviews, each tank will have a maximum of 3 players running it. So 1 player will pull double duty as commander and gunner in the Panzer IV, like in ROOST.
The T-34/76 didn't have a separate gunner and commander.
Well i want 4.... main gunner should not need to leave spot to get a could view someone should spot for him!
Sounds almost as boring as being the loader...
