Whenever the Abomination appears in a game, the Berserker is often a wasted slot. Perhaps it would be worth it for the boss to have mechanics specific to the Berserker perk?

    Abomination Spawn
All melee weapons (perk knives excluded) will disable the self-destruct and launch them back, exploding with a 345 damage explosion (no damage type) that does NOT damage players at all. This enables the Berserker to use Abomination Spawns as makeshift grenades to throw at the Abomination.

Specifically for that reason there exists VLAD-1000 and the Eviscerator. Have you ever heard of them?
One of which abomination is quite resistant to and you have to get up close to deal dmg, which defeats the whole purpose of it being a ranged option... and another that no one ever uses.

Then there's also HRG Tesla launcher ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

With the Eviscerator you kind of don't. Also, Eviscerator damage type is slashing to which Abom has x1 resistance which is absolutely great considering that most of his other damage type modifiers are around x0.5. VLAD-1000 in single fire mode is very underrated, but it's totally underrated. Why these aren't used by most zerks is clear -- people choose this perk so they don't have to bother with landing shots in the first place, why then choose a precision weapon with it, haha. Both these weapons are solid and perfectly viable, the Eviscerator nerf was 100% justified and as of now it's just a viable weapon, not OP as it was.

    Done in one.

He's the easiest boss in the game and Berserker is only sort of worse against him compared to the rest of the bosses, but it's nothing you still can't just backpedal to death with the distance weapons. Like everyone else.

EDIT: If we're going by the logic of "Berserker is worse against this boss and thus coding in specific perk interaction mechanics for this boss is necessary," the SWAT players would like a word.
