What's the point if you can't understand what your team are saying

Well I think as a german I can understand the german soldiers when they speak their native language, also when you are german the german soldiers sound so unbelievable stupid can't take them serious with this stupid german accent and after a english sentence this SCHWEINEHUND.

I really thought we would get the native language option in the settings of the full game, where is it?? We do have the native sounds in the map of the full game , WHY is there not a option to switch from these idiotic Russian/German accents.

Looks like TWI forgot to implement it before release (hopefully). But you know it's okay because they're an indie dev, which means the money you give them is worth less! :)

Could anyone elaborate on how this works in the retail version?

Thank you

it works fine and it's an immersion booster. both sides sound terrific and authentic. however, playing as a russian, I did hear the occasional accented "I'M HIT!", and the victory/defeat voice actors still speak english. guess it'll stay that way even when we have an "official" option.

This has seriously made the game 100% better.

I know some people dont think native voices is a big deal, but ever since turning it on it has just been so much better. Thanks for figuring this out OP!

The german and russian voice actors are AMAZING and it really helps put you in the battle even more. Not to mention I just like listening to russians speak russian and germans speak german.

So thanks agian!! :D

Its still working for me fine. Did you rename it correctly and put it in the correct folder?

I really love the German taunts now, so good. :D

What I'd like to know, could you be banned because of having files that differ from others (same name, but different content)?

IIRC, VAC can't see those things, but PB might, and even though I loathe PB, the amount of PB servers is pretty big, so I wouldn't want to get banned from them either.

EDIT: Also, what about the Redorchestra2/cookedpc/sounds/INT folder files?

What are their function, and should they be replaced by something as well?

Subtitles along with the native voices (for your side) would be wonderful and would enhance the experience I think.

If you were a soldier on either side you would know what your comrades-in-arms are saying, and so, for us non-speakers who still want the immersion of native voices, optional subtitles would serve very well to "simulate" being a soldier of either nationality who knows the language rather than just being confused until you learn what everything means after some time.

I just think it'd be nice to have some additional comprehension for those who want to have native voices and still know what's going on.

Also, if the "don't" have subtitles in real life post was a joke, and I'm just being a fool then :p.

What do you need those subtitles for?
C'mon, the battlechatter is a laugh. I know that devs promised it'll be very very advanced, dense and so on. It came out, as always, rather poor. Nothing compared to BC2.
After few played rounds u will understand everything perfectly.
Few rounds is cheap price for 200% immersion improvement.
