according to steam it doesnt as it counts the amount of steam users online playing the game. It doesnt check the masterserver on any individual server.

what i wanna know its how many copys ya sold till this date.
What I wanna know is if anyone bought more copies then I have? I just gifted my 9th copy this afternoon! :]
