Hello Everyone,

We wanted to make sure all players are up to date on what is happening with Rising Storm 2: Vietnam in both the short and long term for this year. The first thing we want to cover is the top two crashes many of you are experiencing. We believe we have found and fixed one (that could happen when attempting to open any map). We're trying to release this one as a hotfix sometime early next week, but it needs further testing first.

Still under investigation is the launch crash. We released an attempt at fixing this issue on the Community Test Branch, but results have been mixed. The hotfix will also include this updated code as well as additional logging for users who are still having the crash, so that your future reports sent in via bugsplat can help us continue to track down the root cause of this issue.

Players will also find that we have updated the game's roadmap to indicate our plans for this year here: rs2vietnam.com/roadmap

The highlights include our 6 planned major updates for the year and a rough outline of what we hope to accomplish and include with them. Keep in mind that no plan survives contact with the enemy and is subject to change. Items in the "Next | Coming Up" section are under active development and "Near Future | Likely Features" are in or will be prototyped in the near future.

Rounding things out, we are quickly coming up on the entry time for Phase 2 of the map and mod contest! Mappers and Modders should keep their eyes out for the entry form to go up in the coming days.

Can TripWire post anything Formal and public anywhere for the players to know what you did regarding K/D ?

Make it known or better yet, reverse and drop the whole thing and stop messing with the fun in a game with already a huge drop rate in player base?
This make no sense, the K/D and lack of any public stats or ranking system is alone a reason to drop the whole thing. please reply from tripwire workers.

Why kills from commanders, pilots, HMG and maybe snipers and rpg too are not counted for stats and K/D?
If you won't drop this silly move who just add for the players drop then make it public so the players will know exactly when they are giving up their own fun for the win of the team. cause only low level players who are unaware will take TL role etc cause the those who are more capable usually unwilling since trip wire is ungrateful for the vets to use these roles.

I'd really like to see the hit detection in the game be improved. I really hate shooting someone full-auto in the back at like 5m away just for them to turn around and spray and kill me with the first bullet they fire. I see there will be some change to the damage model and I really hope that that helps. Changing weapon damage and player health might help, but it's mostly the random damage that weapons seem to do (can't kill someone point blank with 7.62mm in the chest on full auto, but if you spray at like 50m and hit someone in the shoulder its a one-shot) that bothers me.

I have to 2nd what Truth said. The most frustrating part of this game is the poor hit detection. There are people including myself who would like to play this game really competitively (like organizing cups etc.) but so far quite many have turned away because of this, so the number of teams currently is quite low.
