ok, maybe i'm not being toooo serious here. but have the developers considered putting soviet anti-tank dogs in HOS? it could be an interesting, and historically sound feature to put in the game. according to this wikipedia article (sorry), dogs are reported to have damaged at somewhere around 13 tanks in the battle of Stalingrad.

it would be interesting to see small details like this placed in the game. tripwire has already put an exhaustive effort into modeling realistic combat, weapon ballistics, and player movement, but it would be neat to see the game flavored with hints of historical trivia :) female sniper player models would also be fun too !

the dogs should also have their own AI similar to nintendogs. interaction with them would be another great feature. (i'm joking)

There was a progam on Discovery about it, it failed horribly for the russians. There mistake? They trained the dogs on russian tanks, so when they where deployed they just ran past the german tanks to the russian T-34's. So the idea was good, only they destroyed more russian tanks then german ones.

No.

The data we have on mine dogs shows one division that lost every dog their first day of battle with no tank kills. The russians also trained the dogs of soviet tanks which reportedly led to some interesting friendly fire situations.

Long story short: Useless weapon
