A mutant that kills you by saying its times tables.
Just joking I really mean a Mutant that splits into 2 if you kill it with melee weapons.

A sarcastic comment those are pretty rare tooA detailed, well thought out suggestion. We don't see too many of these.![]()
Name: Splitter
Appearance: 4-6 depending on what difficulty it is
Toughness: No more than a clot
Speciality: When the Splitter is killed, it will fall as a normal zed, but upon death an X* amount of spawnlings will appear. About same size as the original splitter
*Depending on what difficulty it is:
And Though this is my suggestion (Floorkilling), I do have doubts about it, cause of questions like:
- Easy: On death, 2-4 new appears
- Normal: 4-6 new appears
- Hard: 4-8 new appears
- Suicidal: 6-8 new appears
- HoE: 10-15 new appear(!!!)
When killed, how many times can it split?
When close enough, what kind of damage does it do?
When their head is blown off, is it still alive?
Lets say you are the only one left (F*** yeah!), and the last zed left before the wave is over is a splitter, what do you do? - You shot it ofc or slice'n'dice it, unless it gets the chance to attack you, so either
A,
If it gets the chance to attack you it will like a clot grab you, but instead of eating you, it will just explode weither you attack it or let it hold you. Explode like a bloat.
B,
If you manage to kill it without getting grappled you will now (depending on diff.) face X Splitters. And they can only split once, so after you've made the splitter split once, they will simply explode
So here you have it.
Thought and comments?

Why's that. that the counter would increase instead of decrease? Have you tried playing on a mission map, Gibby?Splitters!
Spoiler!![]()
If this were to get added, I think it will be a little odd when you look at the ZED counter...

Imma gonna pretend that I am Floorkilling now, cause I like his idea
Yes. Yes I have.
What I was hoping to get at was:
Example: there are 10 zeds visible, one of which is the splitter. The splitter splits into 2 zeds on death. That would be (10 - 1) + 2 = 11. Effectively spawning two in place after the death of one. The splitter is like 3 zeds. Once the splitter and its splits are dead, we're left with 9.
Moar exampling: There are 10 zeds visible, one being the splitter. Would the counter be at 12? Once the splitter and the splits are dead, that would be left with 9.
Basically, would the wave counter display the splits all the time? Or does it do that when the splitting actually occurs?
That's it explained.![]()
Liiiiiiike it does when you play a Mission map. It adds ZEDs "on-the-fly".So it adds ZEDs on-the-fly then? mmkay. :IS2:
