Hi, I've been visiting this forum a long time, just decided to register today. I've been looking for some info about the firebug but I didn't find what I was looking for, so here come the questions

- What's the mechanism behind the "fire stun"? (The one that burning specimens seem to do)

- What's behind the fire speed reduction on zeds? (And I wanted to know If It's good to light up a raging FP or SC to make them run slower)

Beforehand thank you, and forgive me If there's already one thread where these questions are answered.

1.) If you're referring to the ridiculous panic dance they do when set on fire, I believe it's triggered after the zed has been on fire for 6 seconds.

2.) The difficulty is the biggest factor, on hell on earth fire damage is horribly weak compared to bullet damage, therefore even trash such as gorefasts will make it in time to attack you before it burns out. Scrakes and fleshpounds are the same but much more dangerous. Fire does borderline nothing to an fp. And all it does is rage scrakes, in most cases they will kill you before ypu kill them

  • All zeds on fire have their movement speed reduced by 20%, and their reactions will be worse.
  • The Gorefast and the Scrake will stop running/charging after the burn.
  • If the Fleshpound starts to burn while raging, his movement speed will not be reduced and his reactions will remain the same.
  • Fleshpounds are extremely resistant to fire DOT
  • The Patriarch on fire will always keep his normal movement speed and reactions.

So if you wanna slow down a FP, do you have to set him on fire after or before raging? In this forum, somewhore, I read It was after and then read elsewhere It was before, etc.
