I figure I'll have to order one online, I was looking for some reccomendations. I really like the around ear headphones that bose has (I just broke mine accidentally). If anyone knows of a headset with that comfort and sound quality with matching mic then I'm sold.

Heres the headphones I had

The headset I have now has great mic quality but the wrap around headphones are literally cutting into my ears. The sound is really flat as well.

If you haven't broken gaming gear then something is wrong!

The Plantronics Gamecom 777 headset is the most comfortable headset I've ever used. And for $59.99 usd at Tigerdirect a decent deal.

cheers!

Just get whatever set of headphones you want and can afford - I have a Sennheiser HD555 and they are excellent and wasn't too expensive. Then just go buy a decent clip-on mic and a long mic extension cable. Headsets with integrated mics are usually just BS :)

These are good alternatives to the G35s. Although I would recommend the G35s over them :D

I've got a pair of these:

Sennheiser PC 166 USB

They are really comfortable, and they are indestructible. I've killed 2 pairs of Logitech USB headphones in the past from accidentally yanking the cord over time, but I've accidentally yanked the hell out these many times and they are still going strong.

siberia steel series. I have large ears and they fit over fine and are good for hours of gaming. They are also very light and quite durable... and if you get the series 1 on sale ( just as good as series 2) they can be quite cheap ~30$. I bought mine for 75$ last year.

I got a pair of Sony MDR-XB500 and a Zalman ZM-MIC1 a really nice combo imo. Really soft headphones even after a year of use and a good bass sound, only problem is that the cord for headphones are flat so it is a bit of a challenge to make the mic to stay.
