Hopefully the game is going to be better than the movie...
But it looks interesting, and probably is the first game about the conflict after Rambo III. That sure is a hard one to beat.

Sounds cool. I couldn't get into S:HoWW2 because it started out way to hard. Hopefully this is going to be better.
Russian version is called "The truth about 9th company", and developers position their game as a most accurate re-enactment of those events: they worked together with vets from that company, who participated in the battle and they say that at least landscape is done very realistic.

it's an RTS not fps, basically red alert afgan style.
you wont be able to run around on the field it seems, just controll your men from above.

1C published Space Rangers 1 & 2 (Damn you, pelengs!) in english so it is possible.
Anyways, FPS looks very interesting. I hope they aim for dead-'ard realism (like russians would make arcade games
). I've hoped for too long to see a game which simulates modern soviet small arms with high-class realism.

As a game, it sucks.
But I think one should look at this as a documentary of that particular battle. If somebody haven't watched "9th company" movie, but is going to, he should be warned - everything was different there, and this game tells you the true story. And in this role this game is interesting, at least for me.
There are interesting photos, documents, videos as a bonus to this game. Plus, in the near future, there will be a documentary movie with the same name.
I didn't take any screenshots, because there is nothing to see - you can play only at that particular height.
