This is just matter of subjective liking. Personaly, I don’t like it, I don’t like the era of gun skining in todays gaming at all. Thats why I stay with default weapon looks, or at least any other designs that are close to real, mass produced weapons and still represent weapons, not toys.
I’m also not a fan of HRG scifi-like re-skins, yet I understand it’s cheap so TWI can than boast about how they care, but: 1st: Gibson once said that TWI wants to focus on the viewmodel and animations so it looks real, that they give a priority to it, like high FPS count so it looks good also on slow-mo, realistic and other talks (which actually made me to purchase the game), but after some time they just went complete slackermode.
I rly dislike the HRG ,,new weapons” additions, its like a nail in my eye, the slackery of this just ruins all the perfectisms which was intended at first, that I consider a deep fail and swindle, when I remember what he was saying back in 2014.
I still quite like them, they made a pretty good playable games, but they seem to be a little bit disabled at some points: They added microtransactions with weapon skins which is based psychologicaly on Show-off and they didnt even add the damn first-person spectation with weapon viewmodel…how is that supposed to work? They could made so much more money to care about the game it was meant to, but they just didnt because they slack, which causes more slackery.
Skins arent the kind of content game needs bro, its the high quality works what makes it good (and financially sustainable).
