*sigh*

The recoil of the MP40 ingame is realistic, as is the PPSh41's recoil, I've fired both in real life so I should have a good idea of what seems right.

Only weapons ingame that atm feature slightly too much recoil compared to the real thing are the Mkb42, MG34 & DP28. Anyone trying to deny this will basically be objecting to reality.

But, so be it...

This game is not a sim. You can't justify major imbalances because you think it's "realistic" (which is in itself debatable).

Nine losses with the russians

spread over the day..

I cant take RO2 anymore, every single server i join

-The axis team is overstacked with 2-3 players
-The axis team kicking *** whenever a MP40/MKB42 shows up
-The russian team losing everytime
-Seeing players with german styled names saying the balance is fine

Then the stats barely are recorded, no progress whatsoever..
im starting to loose faith in this game

Can somebody like, say something positive? Like that some balance changes are incoming? to get rid of this terrible imbalance?

This game takes teamwork. Trying not to make assumptions, and I'll refrain from idle opinions on team balancing, but I often have a similar experience to this, but generally only when there is a lack of teamwork on the Allies side. I think in a teamwork vacuum, yea maybe the Axis will win more of the time, I won't speculate on the reasons; others certainly have and will. But teamwork and knowing the maps restores parity, in my experience.

So the positive thing I have to say is try to encourage teamwork on your side. Get on VOIP, and in a friendly, non-whiny voice, encourage others to as well. Report enemy movements and locations. Work in groups and support each other instead of 16-32 people trying to individually win the game. Give sage advice about the map. Stay positive and it will work wonders to get people communicating and working as a team. Many times all it takes is for one person to start offering positive info in the VOIP and suddenly someone else will chime in and quite fast the team is making a concerted effort. That way, you have way more chance to win a round against those brutal Axis weapons, and even if you lose you'll have 200% (actual percentages may vary up or down :) ) more fun trying.

An Allies team that knows the map and is working as a team is just as good as the Axis.

I personally find my team wins more with I have a few of my clan-mates with me in my squad, and we're using mumble, we usually have no problem taking objectives, and communicating to victory.

Just play with people and get on vent/mumble/ts it's MUCH better when you're talking with your team/squad.

If you used the in-game VoIP, you would be able to coordinate with your while team and not just your clan mates.

You would also be setting a good example to the pub players of how to communicate. Over time the better ones will pick up the idea and do it themselves. This should lead to a better standard of pub play and more fun games for everyone.

Whatever, just keep ignoring 90% of what I (and most others) posted so that you can avoid admitting that you're wrong about this game being balanced.

No, you are ignoring what he is saying because you refuse to face the truth. The PPSh has realistic recoil, as does the MP-40. Yes, the PPSh has more recoil, but that is because it is firing more bullets. If the MP-40 fired as fast as the PPSh, it would have worse recoil because it is not designed to handle it as well.

You are saying he is ignoring your argument. He is not. He is DISPUTING it. You are ignoring HIS argument.

You just got done screaming at the top of your lungs that (YOUR words): "In short: THERE IS NO BALANCE PROBLEM!!"

So, what happened? You are one walking contradiction with a fully articulated jaw at each side of your mouth. Unreal. I'M on ignore??? Whatever, man, but YOU are definately on MY ignore list.

Is English your first language? He is clearly saying there is not a problem with the weapons, but with the people trying to use them.

He isn't changing his argument, you are simply not understanding it, or are ignoring it. The weapons are fine. The problem is everyone wants to use them, even the guys complaining about them.

In fact I see more people using them and complaining, than people not using them and complaining. I had one server where a guy was running around spamming it up and raging in the chat about how over powered it was. He was the only person using it. Stop frigging using it, FFS!

It is my experience that the people who are good at this game try the MkB, figure out it sucks, then don't try it again. They can do everything that gun can do, better, with another weapon. The people that keep using it are the ones who keep complaining about it, and are only using it to "prove their point".

This thread started with multiple people posting usefull information about map wins and losses, and ends with about 2-3 people *****ing at eachother about weapons -again-. Talk about your experience in round wins and losses here, talk about weapons in one of the multiple topics in this forum.

Thanks.

Played for about two hours today

1. Spartanovka/Russians - we lost 1:2, really close
2. Pavlovs House/Russians- we won 2:1
3. Red October/Russians - we lost 0:2, because almost no one moved to the third capzone
4. Grain Elevator/Germans - we won 2:1 with some luck
5. Pavlovs House/Germans - we lost 2:1
6. Spartanovka/Germans - we lost 0:2
7. Grain Elevator/Germans - we won 2:0

Yep, ingame VOIP is very clear now. Team chat, squad chat and global are all functioning well.

)(thread is tldnr:

I've seen both sides steamroll the other. Its almost always about teamwork and postitioning. Some spawn camping (not talking exit camping) issues for both sides need to be addressed. But the best games come from those when teamwork is working for both sides.

I almost always use a bolt action. I feel so 'dirty' using anything else :p. While I think the current squad system overloads certain weapons classes on certain server sizes, I think you'll find these adjusted as the game progresses. If not by TW, then by individual servers.

So from what i understand you say:
Good and well organized russian team + VOIP vs. German team - Russian win.
Good and well organized german team + VOIP vs. russian team - easy german win
Good russian team vs. Good german team - Still the germans will win in more maps that the russians
Good german team vs. russian team - germans win
and the most common:
German team vs. Russian team - German team win 8 of 10 times.

sorry guys, it's just stupid. i'll better go back to RO1 or other BALANCED game

Lot of RO1 maps are considered imbalanced as I recall.

Is that some of the 'new math' I hear so much about?:p

The only map I consistently see being won by the Axis is Station.
We played the full gambit of TE maps tonight on our 52 man server.
Station was the only map that the Germans won outright both games (we don't play the third for a tie breaker, we let objectives won determine that.)
Most were split or the Russians rolled. Pavlovs, Commissar's House, Red October Factory, Spartanovka all good close games.

I'll make it a point over the next few nights to have someone tallying the wins/losses specifically as we play.

I think that's because when the Germans capture most of the building overlooking the railroad they have a good view point over the railroad and it's defenders, so it is easy to kill them. Soviets should estabilish strong defense inside the building as well as boost the railroad's defenders from top windows whenever possible.

And again on a loss streak. 4 matches lost now in a row with soviets. Win ratio is down to 0.37....

People can say what they want, this game is just unbalanced. Spartanovka, commisarshouse, grainelevator..All are terribly balanced maps. Then those excuses
god i get sick everytime i see them...

But yeah, the grand majority is favoured towards the german team, that is with every WW2 game. So all pretty natural responses.
