Well, the stats are going to be fixed very soon, so that should eliminate everyone and their mother being a hero, meaning less people will have access to the mkb.

I play 90% of the time on the Russian side, usually only going German for Grain Elevator. I've noticed a huge difference in the way the game plays depending on server size. I alternate between a 42 (iirc) server and a 64. The 42 size has the games a lot more balanced and I'd say a 50-50 win rate on apartments, on the 64 players server I have seen 1 Russian win out of ~50 matches. And I don't know if there was an update or the 64 player server I use has changed something, but before today Pavlov was tough, but certainly winnable especially with a good cmdr; but today 5 losses-0 wins and every time the map ends with the Russians out of reinf and the Germans anywhere from 90-120 reinf remaining. I don't know what happened to make such a ridiculous difference, both sides start with the same numbers. I think what might have made the difference is the tanks, specifically people learning how to use the P4 on the map while the Russian tankers usually ragequit.

I definitely think something is wrong with how the tanks play. Nearly every hit on the T34 turret destroys the gun or kills the gunner, then trying to get a crewman into the role takes long enough that the German fires again and another crewman is dead, repeat until all dead. A friend and I went into a nearly empty server, loaded up, brought the T34 and p4 head to head. Almost every shot against the T34 turret killed the gunner or disabled the gun; whereas, it took 7 shots against the p4 to even damage the gun. Granted the T34 is faster which would allow flanking, but Pavlov/Commissar's are so small that is rarely worthwhile. I loaded up 2 maps today just to try out the p4 and it truly is ridiculous. I destroyed 9 T34s in a row on Commisars before I got taken out by an engineer who sneaked around my side. Maybe the tanks are WAD, people with more historical background could say if realistic. But with the gun damage/crew killing not to mention how easy it is to hurt the T34 with the AT rifle while the P4 keeps on going, I think they should at least consider making it 1 p4 against 2 T34s for Pavlov. Moreover, the German tanks can sit across 9th Jan Square raining fire and death on the Russian spawns, while the Germans in nearly every case spawn behind cover without a tank LOS.

Please hearten the 3rd members always well 9/10 chooses Russian.

We played a clan match 13 v 17 (we were the 13) on Station and the church one I can never remember the name.

And we won all 4 games. Tactics are the key also most players that go German are individiuals. Russian should be more willing to coordinate they just need some leadership.

I know it is hard with VOIP but mature leadership can really win.

Although sorry nothing can be done with commissar house, that is a dead loss, but the other maps can be won.

Clans should be choosing Russian to atleast bring some semblance back and make it enjoyable for everyone. Clans should show some leadership here.

I just got out of the 7cav server and ruskies kicked *** !

Ok, we lost in trainyard and destroyed them in barracks.

Then again, people were using mics :)

Yes the germans have better weapons, but it's not all about that.

Against a skilled rifleman, it's whoever takes the first shot...

OK.. a bit of bs there... the MKB has a big advantage but it's not that bad...

I was thinking of DL'ing this game from Steam this weekend. I'm 99% positive I'm going to go out and get a mic also. Been playing Space Marine un-mic'ed but I can understand how this game would require more cohesion in squad tactics. Plus the maps seem alot bigger.

Red October and Commissar's House are impossible for the Russians in 64 player servers, mostly because of lockdown. It's ridiculous that the Russians have 5 minutes to capture 3 objectives simultaneously in Commissar's House, while the Germans get 7 or 8 minutes to capture the Gullies in Spartanovka (the easiest objective of the entire game). No need to reduce the lokdown timer in Spartanovka, TWI should just give the attackers in all maps 10 minutes of lockdown for each objective (i.e. if the attackers have to capture 2 objectives at the same time, they get 20min). That way the attackers wouldn't be fighting against time and lockdown would still have purpose if the teams are stacked.

Can somebody like, say something positive? Like that some balance changes are incoming? to get rid of this terrible imbalance?

I prefer to play Allies because, firstly, I don't think the MkB is that good. I kill them easily enough anyway. Secondly, the fact everyone else seems to want to play as Germans is not a surprise. Every game that has the Germans in it is like that. People just think they are more "cool" or something. This usually means I get the slot I want, and most of the crappier players are on the other team :)

I also think a lot of the Russian weapons are actually better for me. I prefer the Mosin Nagant, and for some reason am more accurate with it. I prefer the DP-28 for everything but CQB. I pretty much don't use anything else anyway, because if I can't do it with the rifle, I can do it with the MG.

I find that the team I'm on wins more often than not. I'm not saying that it's all me, just that I rarely stick around long when the team is obviously full of morons, but even if the team isn't playing well together, just by trying to play as a team you can encourage others to do it as well because that is what most of us want anyway... most people are just waiting for someone else to be the first to stop being selfish.

So what I do is make my own game. Instead of thinking about the objectives or even killing the enemy, I make it my job to try and keep my SL or squad gunner alive. I will get myself killed to save him. It doesn't take too many life saving actions before the gunner or SL wants to stay close to me. Then other squad members see us working together and join in.

It pretty much works every time. The game can be and is awesome if you put a little effort into it. What I see is everyone wanting everyone else to work as a team... but they never want to do it themselves. They never want to just be the follower. We have a team full of chiefs and no indians, and so the team is a monumental clusterf**k, running in every direction, shooting each other, and so on.

I really don't think the russians are underpowered. The guns play a role, certainly, but skill comes better with proper positioning and objective capturing.

It's pretty common for me to get near the top of the score list with very few kills, sometimes none at all. You can really do alot by simply being careful, staying alive and working towards the map's objective.

First because I'm using a bolt action rifle and everyone else is running around with guns that didn't exist yet like assault rifles and semi-automatic rifles, and second because everybody is camping, even said assault classes who really ought to be trying to complete the objectives, and therefore eventually I will move in to the view of a concealed enemy with an automatic weapon and I will die instantly, and he'll go on camping.

Semi automatic rifles and SMG's existed in WW1, and the MkB is no better than either of them. It's a bastard offspring that does both jobs OK, but neither job perfectly. Noobs want that because it makes their life easier.

Pros want a specialist weapon that is the best at a certain job, then adapt their style to suit it. If they need to be in close, they get closer, if they can stay further away, they stay further away. They chose a weapon based on the task they are trying to accomplish rather than what is "cool". They chose the weapon designed specifically for that job. Not some general purpose jack of all trades weapon. That's what green recruits need.

Specialists, specialise. It's pretty obvious, really.

I dunno. It's my experience that if the team can't do it in the lockdown time limit it's because of the way they are playing and all the extra time does is delay the inevitable. Sure we can play longer... but is it really worth it? Better to end the round and teach the attackers they will never win unless they work together properly.

There are three targets because there are three full squads. You should be able to take them all at the same time, or bum's rush one objective, then steamroller through the next two before the defenders have a chance to set up their defence.

The problem is everyone races for that first objective, then camps. Then the defenders race to retake it... then camp.. and so on. Back and forth for a whole round. It's intense and fun at times. But it's hardly realistic. No way would a commander throw all his troops at a single objective until they are all gone. If the first is too tough, he'll stop the attack altogether and build up his forces first.

He may even try to convince the defenders that they will lose no matter what and to give up without a fight.

The point is, sending men into a meat grinder went out of fashion in the Somme during WW1. So if you want realistic WW2 combat, this is it. The real battle for the grain elevator consisted of several attacks a day over the course of three or so days. One attack was described as being carried out by 200 "tommy gunners" with tank support. There was less than 50 Soviet infantrymen defending it at the time. After the battle the Germans were shocked to discover so few men had tied up a significant proportion of their forces for so long.

That is what happens when you find a tough nut in the real world. You put away the nutcracker and get out the sledgehammer.

Yesterday, I experienced multiple Axis losing streaks. Both streaks were about four maps long. They were on different servers.

It was because people on Axis didn't get in cap zones, and weren't able to win many fights. In fact, Allies won all the 1v1 fights since they had position first then crept up slowly. had some Russkies near the Axis spawn most of the time.

There were some possible hackers, but I think Allies just had more skill and awareness.

Sometimes, though, there are bot hackers who run around instagibbing everyone with MGs, and rack up 50 kills when others have 10.

Nine losses with the russians

spread over the day..

I cant take RO2 anymore, every single server i join

-The axis team is overstacked with 2-3 players
-The axis team kicking *** whenever a MP40/MKB42 shows up
-The russian team losing everytime
-Seeing players with german styled names saying the balance is fine

Then the stats barely are recorded, no progress whatsoever..
im starting to loose faith in this game

Can somebody like, say something positive? Like that some balance changes are incoming? to get rid of this terrible imbalance?

I join a server of chronically loosing russians, join the russian side, start giving orders and telling people what to do and where to go and to MOVE FAST. threaten to go "commisar" on the camping snipers with rifles/semis, and add a small bit of insulting that makes any decent respecfull game want to prove me wrong. Voila the russian team goes on a winning streak till its time for me to do something else and I leave the game.

Yesterday I played Spartanovka, Station, Barracks, Apartments and Fallen Fighters. ALL 5 maps were won by the russians. There was only one draw on Spartanovka.

Just had a repeat performance of last night playing Russians. Won TE Barracks, TE Grain Elevator and TE Pavlov's House. Grain Elevator was two lockdown shutouts in a row. Pavlov's we just kept the pressure on the objectives and played aggressively at the caps. I actually saw Soviet players leaving Axis who were working towards the edges alone. Once again, people were moving in ad-hoc squads, giving cover and watching the flanks.

I play Russian almost exclusively at the moment because I am focusing on leveling my scoped mosin rifle. Granted I have a favorite server that I play on which houses 32 players. I find that whoever wins is a total shot in the dark. The Russians win plenty, and in fact it's most often the Russian side that tends to get stacked. But the Germans win plenty too. Seems alright to me, but as I said, I pretty much limit myself to one server.

AVT is more than a match for the MKb.
You have too much pride to admit that you suck at the game
so you make up crap in your mind like "balance issues"

Real men dont cry over balance issues, They will drive their bayonette into your guts and skull regardless of whatever gay *** weapon you are holding.

-pokes- You should not focus on leveling anything. With stats incredibly messed up for so many people, in all likelihood they are going to have to wipe them all when they fix the problem.
