Alright folks, this is my first post. I've already searched in the forum but I did not find the answer to my question.

Comparing the basic bolt sniper rifles, the Kar98k and the Mosin Nagant, I had the impression (this is my opinion and I may be wrong) that the standart russian scope has a far bigger zoom.

Thanks to the might CD 8x kills, I managed to bring both scoped rifles to level 27. Now the situation seems reversed: the German scope has a far more better reticle and I feel the improved zoom, while on the Russian one I don't see any improvement.

What are your opinions about? Am I wrong? Shall I try to play one life with the standard scope and then try the upgraded one?

Thanks :)

The initial side mounted Mosin Nagant scope is the only one I can really abide with, since the iron sights are still fairly usable on it. All the others... after 5 minutes I want to tear the scope off the damn thing, and usually switch to another class :p

The first MN scope is 3.5x zoom, so the difference is really quite small. :>
The first K98k scope is 4x zoom.

I find that the 6x zoom scope on the K98k is only useful in very specific locations, where a narrow field of view on a long range area is needed. The sight itself, I think, is okay, but I prefer the MN sights, I set those babies to 100m more than the range of the target and shoot above the reticule.
