Hello, I noticed that in nowdays games, there's not the option to set the resolution to 640x480, like in COD:BO and Battlefield Bad Company 2.
So the question is: will be there 640x480 support? It's useful if someone has a low graphics card. Thoughts?

I think you can set whatever resolution you want through manually editing a config

Oh god, can you imagine the game at that resolution? Any dev feel like tossing us a screenshot for the lulz?

Dude, most websites don't even support 640x480 anymore.

No way should it be a priority for an AAA game. Thought I don't mind it being editable in some config file.

the issue would rather be with that AFAIK windows 7 does not support 640x480.

That's on win7 ;)

"setres 640x480" in console. There should be the same or a similiar console command in ut3.

To set my resolution, I went into the game's .ini file and did it there by editing the appropiate line (easy to spot)! I did the same for Killing Floor, although I never knew the console command...

Well, being a graphics whore is one thing, being able to spot, identify and target a soldier who is farther than 50m away is a pretty nice advantage anyone playing with a normal resolution is going to enjoy.;)

But the engine is flexible enough to work with the resolution anyway, so to each their own.

The only problem I could see is that the menu might not work on too low a resolution! The game definitely will, but the menu might not. So if it's a problem with your monitor, like, you're playing on a hacked phone or something, lol, you may run into problems there. But if it's just for performance reasons you should be fine. Well, not fine at all, but the game should work at 640*480. :)

Here you go!

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/best-graphics-card,2964-2.html

gfx cards arent anymore so expensive.

Card For $65:Radeon HD 5570 DDR3
Great 1680x1050 performance in most games

Thanks for the information, but at the moment I have a laptop.
By the way I'm thinking about changing it, because I found another PC (desktop) at €599:
Windows 7
3.6 Ghz
I don't remember the graphics card, but if it is low, I can buy the one that you posted
There are other things that I don't remember
Thanks again.

If you want a PC with a good price-performance ratio you should definitely get a desktop PC, great bang-for-the-buck and easy upgradability if you choose the parts wisely.

Also you should build the rig yourself or pay someone (or a shop) to do it for you, you'll get better quality that way, there's also lots of people eager to help choosing parts so that shouldnt be a problem. :)

Thanks for the tip, I will ask someone to build mine.

Spend the $40 you would normally spend on the game to buy a video card. seriously. For $40 you can get a several years old card that should be able to push at least 1024x768. Then the following month get the game.
