katana will only flinch if they are on normal/hard. Wont work on suicidal/HoE.
If I need to deal with scrakes, I flinch them all the time on HoE.

You MUST alt-fire the scrake at the back of the head to flinch them.If I need to deal with scrakes, I flinch them all the time on HoE.
If you're a berzerker yes but I know for sure it works at back with no perk.Er, no... I use the Fire Axe alt-fire at the front of the head to flinch HoE Scrakes. Fairly certain the Katana works from the front as well.

That would explain why im confusing people with my descriptions. Cheers for this information.I think we're all using different definitions.
Flinch: Scrake pauses, but is still mobile and will attack a few moments later. On Hard and below, you can flinchlock. If it's Suicidal or HoE, you can flinch the Scrake once. In terms of melee weapons, katana, axe, and claymore can cause a flinch.
Flinchlock: Continuously flinch Scrake until dead. Only Berserkers with katanas can do this, and only on Hard or lower.
Stun: Basically paralyze the Scrake for a few seconds. There are several ways to do this with various perks and weapons. In terms of melee weapons, katana, axe, or claymore can do this, but there's a bunch of different variables (Perk level, headshot, backstab, etcetera) to get a good stun. When not a Berserker, alt-fire backstab headshot (say that three times fast) can stun a Scrake if you're using an axe or claymore.
Stunlock: Should be self-explanatory. Continuously stun the Scrake.

I never even knew this. Time to fire up test map. There's also a third one, an interrupt if you will, that is a form of flinching and the damage requirements are lower than both flinching and stunning. This is what you are using when you do melee+HSG or ebr a scrake off perk. Its pause effect is a much shorter duration than flinching but unlike a flinch, it can be done multiple times on suicidal+. Because of the short pause duration, only an ebr has a fast enough fire rate and damage to lock a scrake this way. However, if the scrake has already flinched, then you cannot do this interrupt.

If that's possible... potential spam of EBR by non-Sharpies? Although the recoil would make it hard to keep landing shots. However, I haven't seen this happen as a Sharpie... does it only happen off-perk?
I've had it work on a level 4 sharp and non-perked. Depends on how quick you shoot and where you shoot as it may look like you hit him in the head but it doesn't count towards a headshot. If that's possible... potential spam of EBR by non-Sharpies?
