If it is already not triangles, highlight all the vertices and hit cntrl+T to triangulate. That'll make em game-ready.

Make a Long-Las for the Crossbow or M14, Boltgun (for the SCARMK17) or Hotshot Lasgun for assault rifles, with different variations, to tell them apart.

And an Autocannon for the AA12 :3

Unfortunately there is no latest model, the last thing i was doing was trying to learn to use subsurf well enough to make decent grips for the existing models and to clean up the said models.

And unfortunately for me and anyone who was interested in this, my life seems to want to derail itself recently so i'm busy feeling like utter ****e :/

I have some sketches done to work off, but no scanner

Problem I see with the model is smoothing groups. It almost looks like you have the entire model setup on 1 smoothing group, except the cylinder (just a guess). Adding in more supporting edge loops would help but its hard to see exactly what all is going on in the wireframe screen.

I would google some blender tuts on properly setting up smoothing groups, Id love to link you but I don't use blender.

Threads old I know, but love the gun.

actually there are no smoothing groups in blender, i use it myself. the closes thing that you can do is define sharp/hard edges. which in my opinion is not enough. thats pretty much the only limitation in blender that i can find. edit: that and it doesn't exactly do UV Mapping very nice.. i mean it'll do it perfectly fine but it's a bit of a pain. it would be a lot nicer if it was more like Soft-image or 3dsmax... soft-image preferred i love the UV mapping on that.

however there is the smart smotth/auto smooth feature that smooths everything but mimics groups by auto defining sharp/hard edges. but it kinda sucks.

it takes a bit of work but you can work around this notorious blender issue by only applying smoothing to certain faces.. doesn't always work. and will never look perfect but it's better then nothing. you can see what i mean Here

P.S i ****ing hate trackball view. i roll turntable :p

hmmm well didn't know you could do that lol thankyou :) however thats still not smoothing groups what it's doing is seperating the selected faces from that specific object. so when you go back to edit them you'll have to rejoin them
