Can someon tell me some 3D programs that are free or really cheap because I'm poor. I downloaded a free one onetime and it was cool but I uninstalled and and I can't remember what it was.:rolleyes: Any help would be nice. Please and thank you.

blender is free and should get the job done. Beside the PLE version of maya i think there is something similar of 3dmax.

gmax is free but you need to regiter it if i remember.
It looks like 3dsmax (so the tuto are working for both which is great because 3dmax has got plentyof very good tuto) but it has less functions.
but for video game i think it is enough ...

Can you model StaticMeshes with GMax? Its been a while since I tried it but back then you could export your models to the unrealed.
Imo Maya PLE is your best choice.

I believe for anyone aspiring to be a modeller, Milkshape is a great starting block. Plenty of Tutorials, plenty of exporters. This is where a Modeller should start... The Basics, low-poly, just the basics. It's where I started and moved on to Max and Maya. Too many times I've looked over a model in a mod and have seen all the wasted polies. Everything is too high in count these days, people should start at the basics to learn that not everything has to be 6k tris.

Hmm, from the above link:

Every time I try to install gmax it loads up the OFP demo set-up. I don't even have OFP installed on my PC?
