oh no the game is dead!! only 350 people on! oh my!
Lets see.... RO1 and DH for years had less than 350 at any one time, and it was not dead.
Lets see... I can always jump into a croweded server at any time, not dead to me.
Lets see....Population server count is not accurate by any means, depends on what type of server, geo location, time of day on the planet, Interface not counting all servers, map change, some admins dont let servers ping population numbers.
Yeah the game is dead! just got done chatting in steam with a fellow player in Asia, as of 1730 Eastern time zone He is registering 111 players on 6 asian servers alone....
Yeah the game is dead! run for the hills! the game is dead!!!
People like you keep talking about RO1's low player count as if that was something to be
proud of.
I loved the original Rainbow Six game (redstorm dev not ubi crap); it's population peaked in the low hundreds.......so? Back then with almost no competition and no other options having a player count in the hundreds wasn't an issue. Today it is.
Today we like to have "options". Who cares if there are always a handful of server full for a game. Only a
handful of populated servers means only a
handful of gameplay options.
You're telling me that the rest of us should be ok with "hanging out" on some server where we see the same people every day/night playing the same configuration over and over again?
Sorry.....not for me. I like options. I like having thousands of servers to choose from. Why? Because like it or not people are dicks. If I don't like how people are behaving in a server I quit, join another. If the map doesn't suit my taste that evening I quit join another. If I'm suddenly sick of one game mode I can quit join another. Oh wait..........in RO2 that's not really possible anymore. See the point?
Of course the statement "dead" doesn't really mean
dead. I'm sure it was meant to suggest what I just did. Once people feel like they are being funneled to one or the other server night after night, that means (to many people) the game is dead. Options are everything in our entertainment. Take those away and to many of us that source of entertainment is dead.
