Neat idea though playing around the corner looks awkward, but being a duel purist I prefer my chess matches to be of the 1on1 deathmatch type anyway!

Looks fun, but I bet most games will be cheap in the sense that 2 players will always gang up on another one from the start. I think it would be best if 3 people who didn't know eachother played, so alliances would have to be formed mid-way into the game.

Chess is a game of tactics, not of diplomacy. I guess you'd have to constitute a rule that determines check-mating pairs of two, so, for example, player red can only check-mate player white.
Anyone remember Global Chess? Played on two discs which act like cogs ie you turn one and the other turns?
