And I think the reason you are getting these reactions is because the original 2.SS was such a huge part of this community for such a long time. Not to mention there are several old members that have been talking about re-making it, right Mencken? Thats just what I heard anyways.

I think it’s great to see that the Realism community isn’t neglecting the SS units and the massively important party they played throughout the war. In fact I think I read that the German armed forces stopped using Infantry after 1939!


Anyway I wish you luck, you have a monumental task ahead of you. Well that is if you intend the unit to last more than a month. If you need anything stop by the 72.Inf forums

Koba.... it was a joke read it again i am being sarcastic! If I really thought that the Wehrmacht stopped using regular infantry then why I would I have started an Infanterie unit?

The only way you could hope to find recruits at this late stage is by forming a press gang, simply advertising yourself just doesn’t suffice these days. It’s hard enough for larger well established units let alone new ones with no combat record.

You find recruits by populating your server and then posting in-game ads on everyon's screens. The forums are a decent side gig but most recruitment has to be done in game.

I agree, populating your server is really the only way for new units to recruit. Your best bet IMO is to team up with other Units and take turns plebbing on each others servers on a weekly basis.

I suppose locked private servers are called "Patrician servers".
