I can agree with this. I give the game a solid 8/10 and I'm only hard on it because I like it. If I didn't like it I wouldn't care at all.

Well if you have been around the forums over the game's EA phase you would have seen all the threads and ****posts and dissatisfaction of people throughout the update process. Also if you look at the player numbers, most new people leave instead of sticking around, and lots of the returning players eventually stopped returning. Either due to not enjoying the game as it evolved or because of the long waits for actual content/devs to tell us what's next or even confirmed.

Also you have no idea what kind of hat I'm pulling my assertions out of. What if it's a magic hat? Then you'd feel silly.

It's difficult to extrapolate real numbers with some comments from a forum. Is there some steam stats to confirm that ?

Well, i should have posted this into suggestion sections but looking how TWI guys reading this thread i'd love to make a suggestion about Medic's Zedative skill.

Comes out i haven't touch it for a while (did i ever touch it?) but it is quite unreliable. Firstly all ZEDs with toxic resistance equal or lower that 0.25, i.e. all medium and big ZEDs are not being affected by DOT due to damage calculations.

In solo where resistance are slightly less powerful it is possible to apply DOT but only with the AR, Medic Grenade or knife slash - pistol, SMG and shotgun is out of the business completely.\

I'd suggest to make sure that NewDoTDamage in KFPawn.ApplyDamageOverTime() never gets lesser than 1.

Because we all know that a firebug nerf is a certainty, I have to ask this:

Has nobody ever thought that a nerf should come in the form of damage increases while decreasing the max ammo to compensate? I'm honestly sick and tired of how every time Tripwire nerfs the Firebug, you have to mindlessly spam your flames in order to deal any damage at all.

Damage increases while imposing ammo limitations would force players to rely on short controlled bursts and DoT stacks in order to maintain effectiveness. Besides, burnt clots could easily be finished off with a knife heavy swing.

I must say I love this update. A few things tho:

Bone Crusher needs to have damage values increased by about 10.
I support most of the things done to the Firebug weapons.
  • Incendiary shotgun is great and feels like it packs a punch when previously it felt like it was only on par with the tier 1 support shotgun.
  • C&B is great but I still think it should have weight reduced to 4.
  • I think the damage on the Flamethrower might be overbuffed a bit but the damage increase is still welcome. Whats with the wierd number on the splash damage radius tho?
  • Microwave Gun still needs a damage buff. For 10 weight and being a tier 4 its beam is very weak. The Flamethrower buffs make me prefer it for the lower weight and lower price and the fact that I can use Flamethower Trenchgun and medic pistol.
  • I think with these buffs you absolutely need to put some sort of Own Fire Resist on the Survivalist.
Multiperk weapons are absolutely great but a couple things need to be addressed
  • I think its seriously time to look at that stats of the M4 Combat Shotgun. With the Tier 3 Medic Shotgun being available to the Support I dont see the point of using it. The weight is of most concern to me. 8 weight is a bit much especially when the AA-12 is 10 weight and has literally double the damage per clip. I personally think reducing the weight to 7 with a small damage increase to 28 would make this weapon more attractive.
  • Im wondering why the Remington and the Magnum were made Sharpshooter weapons. What makes them more Sharpshootery than the other two? I personally think that the single pistol version of all 4 pistols fits better because you have better accuracy that way. I dont know if you can program that and it might be a bit confusing for players that only the single versions are for sharpies. Also wasnt the example of using pistols with the Sharpshooter the very thing advertised as being the reason to go Survivalist?
Can the Gorefiend not be parried with the Katana? Because I had no luck in triggering it. I also couldnt get things to parry with the Bone Crusher I think.

Wouldnt it just be better to make Zedative its own dot that activates during zed time and not be reliant on Acidic Rounds?

In light of the new Tactical Reload animations, I think Tripwire has an excuse to buff Massacre now, so as to improve the reload speed of berserker weapons. As it currently stands, Smash is still objectively better because Fleshpounds and Scrakes exist.

Giving Massacre ranged weapon buffs on top of the light attack damage would at least give the VLAD and Eviscerator more utility.

Should just make melee attack speed effect the alt fire on the eviscerator and buff attack speed to 10% on the massacre skill

Map is awesome.Firebug needs nerd its op especialy the mwg aka lazer of DOOM.Crossperk weapons is a good idea to bring weapon and playstyle variety but it falls short since perk weapons are always better and suited for the perk.Adding a new zed is a great idea that deepens gameplay and would like to see more zeds in future.

When will the beta end and when will the official patch be released ?I really hope that this game doesn't turn out to be a port from pc with lack of content.BTW i'm sorry for posting this on the pc topics,but it looks like the ps4 topics are around 50 in total so...yea,no support ones or ever.It looks like if u want to find something about the ps4 version of the game you need to do some digging,the type of digging that is so deep that you end up coming out in China.But not to change the subject ,when will the official patch be released ?

Aside from the official patch, where is the promise that we will get modding support and custom weapon mod support? I sure as hell hope that Tripwire will not lie to us and give us empty promises.

We don't know when the patch will be released, but TWI has said they plan on keeping both platforms to be somewhat even with each other in terms of content. The only changes are small balance changes that are necessary.

TWI never made a promise to anyone on the PS4 that there would be custom content support. They said they'd try to bring it over while they work with Sony but there was never a promise that it would definitely happen. That's not a fault with TWI, blame that on Sony and their policies if you want to get mad at someone.

I was talking about PC. Never have I ever mentioned anywhere in the post that it is for PS4.

P.S. I don't play consoles.

Didn't know that,thanks m8.But doesn't the beta need to stop first?And i dont see any dates for that,i mean they should just say "the beta will end on ././2016 ,thank you all for your feedback" but they have no new info on that matter.I'm, afraid that the game will remain in this beta state for a long time (for bug fixes etc).Maybe next friday.

A few of the early updates brought in huge influxes of people, but each time a majority fades away after a month or two, and now the late updates aren't bringing in the same large crowds, but do keep slightly more players interested. This upcoming update will attract some more people, and anyone who says the game is dead is over-exaggerating, but the game definitely isn't as successful as it could be. It looks like there's a very slight growth trend over the last few months, and if TW can keep the momentum going they might hit an average of 5k concurrent players soon. Or the player numbers might start dying off again now that the big "game's out" excitement is over.

It would be interesting to see the number of players who own Killing Floor 2 and have less than 20 hours played, or the number of players who own it but haven't played it in over 3 months. Probably a majority in both cases. I personally haven't really played a match in a month and a half.
