10 hours of play time, want to give my opinion.

Hello, so I bought this game 2 days ago and clocked 10 hours of play time lol (blame the easter holidays lol)
The good

It is sooooo immersive.
I love crawling on the ground with bullets whizzing past my ears and artilllery raining everywhere, its a wow! feeling.
I love the audio, its the best I have ever heard. The gun sounds are very authentic and I like the way I can hear people from a great distance.
The whole has this feeling to it that I cant quite put my finger on, but its very atmospheric.
I love all those tiny little details that make the game what it is.
The ironsights are just amazing, nuff said.
+ Loaads of more stuff

The bad
I encountered people telling me to get out of their tank because its "their" tank.
The recoil of the smgs is a bit unrealistic IMO.

Or have I just been watching too many movies.
I lost a face to face duel with a bolt action guy, i sprayed and prayed with my ppsh and he just hit me once. Maybe I just suck lol but hopefully I will get used to it.
And thats all for the negatives.

Overall, I LOVE the game.It is the best online experience I have ever had and probably the best shooter I have played.
I am glad I got it.

If I remember right, they are adjusting the recoil of the SMG's to be more realistic in ROHoS

And I suppose they are fixing that get out of my tank problem too

Welcome, I think everyone will enjoy the user friendliness that RO2 will bring while keeping to the core mechanics that made RO1 so fun to play.

that's a pretty fair review for 10 hours of play.
yeah people can be sorta wierd about 'their' tanks....but then again you'll find people like me who are more than willing to team-tank. look for the Old Farts server on Thursday nights. they try to feature tank and armor heavy combined arms maps on thursdays.

Glad you're enjoying it! I too agree it's one of the most immersive/realistic games I've seen. One thing I think adds to it is it doesn't have all the HUDs and such that are strictly game stuff. (For example, they don't have red and green tags over people on a battlefield so you know who to shoot at. )

I now got used to the recoil, but when standing up and shooting a ppsh i always fail.
But that leads to some hilarious moments

Yes the recoil is fake. It does help with the game balance though. The papasha is a close range weapon when on the move.

Eventually you get used to the recoil and it becomes second nature to compensate by pulling down sharply with the mouse.
