The history of our RO unit goes back to Beta 1.0, and we are still going strong. With historical research and a genuine interest in the german army and the Waffen-SS, we pride ourselves with being the first realism unit for Red Orchestra. Now as RO:Ostfront 41-45 is about to be released we feel that it is time to broaden our ranks and welcome new comrades to our unit.


This is what the 1.SS 'Leibstandarte' offers:

• A strong comradeship full of historical discussions and RO-playing.
• An own game server which is ready for RO:Ostfront as soon as it is released. We have also access to our own Teamspeak2 server.
• A feeling of "Virtual Reenacting" with german nicknames, ranks and awards.
• A unit which will also be playing the upcoming HL2 modification "Resistance and Liberation".
• A unit who focus on playing german side only and challenge russian realism units in the upcoming RO realism ladder.

What we expect from new recruits:

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• You are an experienced FPS player with a computer able to manage RO:Ostfront. You will also need a headset with microphone.
• Interest in the combat history of the Waffen-SS, and not the trappings and symbolism.
• Willing to devote a significant amount of time to the unit, and take part in the clan practise and matches.

Beside this, all potential new members will be on a one month trial basis, to see wether you have what it takes to be in our unit or not.
