I've heard that you can one hit a p4 from the front by hitting above and just to the right of the left track, this will cause a catastrophic explosion of the ammo storage. I believe this is the ammo bay which is positioned directly behind the driver. I've never saw this happen very often until today when I saw a t-34 consistently 1 hit kill p4s (on the first shot) from the front over and over again. Does anyone know if this means the armor coding has been changed? I don't think that's the case because I haven't seen anything about that in the patch notes. The only other thing I can think of is that a hitherto undiscovered weak point in the p4 has been found. . . or maybe someone with way too much time on their hands coded an aimbot to directly target the ammo bay of a p4 regardless of the direction its facing. Thoughts?

i usually play as germans and if ur ever facing straight on with the enemy it is the worst since if they hit the ammo its one hit everytime, which is the usual way of death unless i'm flanked. On the other hand if I happen to hit straight on to a russian one i can sometimes get the same result but not as much.

I hope there is some random factor involved in tank damage.

Even a direct hit in ammo storage should not always generate a kill. Only a high chance for it. Sometimes the ammo store can be empty, sometimes the shell just doesn't ignite the ammo, sometimes it barely penetrates and has no energy to destroy the ammo box.

Let's say 40% chance for an ammo explosion, 40% chance for ammo ignition, and 20% chance for doing just ordinary damage. And a small chance for ammo explosion if the shell only barely penetrated.

On the other hand, even if shell does not hit the ammo box, there should be some chances (especially in case it contains a burst charge) that some splinter will hit and ignite the ammo, and sets the tank on fire.
