Im fairly sure that to get news showing up in Steam, they have to go other ways then to just make a post somewhere. Pretty sure the Steam Update news is being published by the guys behind Steam itself and is not something any developer can just post stuff at.

The amount of work it takes to get all aspects of an entire nation modeled/textured/animated/coded takes up a huge amount of time. Just look at the current 3 RO mods, they have been running for over 1,5 years to push out their content. An entire new nation is highly unlikely.

The hills in the beginning are just very weird and the cause of many of the Maikop stuff it seems. Best to just either block those or alter them a bit :P

You can vote a CC map straight after a stock RO map and it should just work. Thats the whole idea behind how the mod was set up to work.

Like he said, but then in lowercase :p The clue is that it is integrated in RO. Which means you can just boot up RO as normally and look for server with Carpathian Crosses or CC in the name, these are running the mod. Once you join the server you can just vote for CC maps.

Standard Steam installation goes into Program Files/Steam as far as I know. At least, for me that is :P

Yes, PTRD shot that killed the optics. Maybe the vid doesn't do it justice but the glass is shatterd and dirty etc.
