...and the FAL...
I've got three "new" rifles to add to the mix! A lend-Lease Eddystone M1917 made in August of 1918. A Springfield Model 1873 Trapdoor made in 1884, and lastly I have an R1A1. It isn't technically a military arm, but it was built from a military parts kit.
There we go! I also have a Spanish S&W...
No, it's quite easy to get commercial AR rifles in Georgia, but ARs actually used in war? That used to be something you just couldn't get. While this weapon wasn't used by the military, it was used over in the sand box by a contractor. That's what makes it interesting to me.
That's nice! I have a 1935 Tula but I wish I could have got one that early! The older the better for me! Odd thing to say with what I posted here!
Well, I never thought I'd post a pic of an AR type rifle since the only ones we can get are either civilian copies, or VERY expensive Vietnam era...
Well, it's been quite some time, but I've got one more to show you!
It's an Argentine Sistema Colt Mod 1927. Which is a 1911A1 clone built for the Argentine military. These are completely interchangeable with US M1911 pistols. I can't wait to shoot it!
Again? I'm starting to think I'm the only posting collector left...
Here are two new to me rifles!
The first is a Yugo M48B I picked up today.
She's all matching and has a great bore!
Here is the crest.
Even though it is stamped "A" the stamped parts reveal it to be a "B". They never...
I couldn't have said it better myself. It's a hobby like anything else. If you get bored with it. It just means this hobby isn't meant for you.
I personally enjoy the historical links these weapons provide. To use gautrek's home nation as an example. I have a 1918 No. I Mk III* BSA Lee Enfield...
Dang is this place dead? I normally wouldn't double post but considering my last post was in JULY I think it should be OK.
Well, I picked up one of the reasons Japanese Arisaka rifles got a bad name.
It's a Japanese trainer! These were built on cast iron receivers and were meant only for...
I got a "new" rifle. It's a Turkish Gew. 98 with almost no bluing, but it has a great bore, smooth action, and it only cost me one hundred dollars!
I also picked up a stock for my M1 Carbine for $50. It's an M2 pot belly stock but it looks a lot better than that sanded and shiny stock it...
I already had them. I'd bought a grab bag type auction for cheap (less than $15) off of eBay that was full of Finnish replacement parts and tool kits back in 2006. It's paid for itself many times over since!
I got another one. It's a Swiss M1889 Rifle.
Considering the time these were released...
I got a Finnish VKT M91 for $133.74! The guy at the shop thought it was one of those "Old Russian rifles" and you could see it on his face that he thought he was ripping me off when I agreed to buy it for $125.00! When I got it the bore looked ruff and the bolt head was missing. I replaced the...
...the US led invasion of Iraq began. I have a few friends who served in that war. Thankfully they returned home safe. Although some have mental scars that may never heal.

Here is my Cz52 at the range!
Czech CZ52 Pistol 7.62x25mm Tokarev - YouTube
While this isn't a military revolver it is based on the Colt M1851 Navy. Only it's .44 cal with a brass frame. You have to use smaller charges but they still breath fire!
Pietta Black Powder .44 Caliber Revolver -...
About six or seven years ago I had a Cz 52. It was the first pistol I ever owned. I traded it off and for a long time wished I hadn't. Well, a few weeks back a friend of mine bought one at an estate sale. He asked me if I wanted it. I remembered my old one, said "Yes!", and I bought it from him...
I'm glad you all like these! I wish some more were translated. Some of the non-translated documentaries that show up on the side of these videos are really good from the look of them.
Some of you may have already seen these videos, but I thought I'd share them for those who haven't. They are short Russian documentaries on the weapons of the Great Patriotic War. They don't just glorify the weapons either. They speak of the short comings as well as the positives.
This one is...
Here's one of my first Mosin Nagant's. I've had it since 2003, and I posted it with a group shot (page 4), but these pictures came out good enough for me to post it by itself. This is a 1931 Izhevsk M91/30.
This is the picture that made me decide to post this one. I thought it was a pretty good...
New rifle!
This is my new to me 1942 Tula M91/30. It is in a pre/early war stock. This is the first non-laminate 91/30 stock I've seen with a cross-bolt behind the trigger guard. My guess is that it was put there to combat some weakness in the stock, but I see no signs of a repaired crack or...
