    Immersion Overhaul Mutator Information

Looks much better. Not sure if the extended sniper safety was a thing around the time of Stalingrad, but if it was, that'd be a neat addition too. Cannot overstate my joy that all this is finally happening, and still before TWI gives us troop carriers. Welp.

    Immersion Overhaul Mutator Information

You're my hero. About time something like this came. Forget whitelisting it - TWI just need to implement this as standard, honestly. I might even have to reinstall now.

    Lol is this for real?

The fact that anybody could possibly consider this to be an idea worth testing (let alone do so while not under the influence of a powerful hallucinogenic) is more than damning enough. I was vaguely interested in RS in the hopes TWI wouldn't screw it too badly by getting involved. This has...

PPSh-41's monstrously exaggerated, unfair, pathetic, unrealistic recoil

Realistic recoil would require more variables added to handling to prevent things from feeling too gamey, but as far as I am concerned that is all the more reason to do it. At least it's not as bad as it was in RO1.

The flaws of RO2's leveling system

I find it extremely hard to believe anyone 'enjoys' botfarming.

The flaws of RO2's leveling system

I wasn't talking about this thread, hence my use of the word 'other'. I also don't really see how everyone having the same unlock is any worse than everybody having the same starting equipment (especially in the case of things like the PEM which everybody should have anyway). Cosmetic upgrades...

The flaws of RO2's leveling system

It's odd you call us out for something other people get away with no end. I won't name anyone because I know it will land me in trouble, but it is not something we are doing any different to them - just in our case it's not sanctioned, in theirs it apparently is. Go right ahead and read the...

The flaws of RO2's leveling system

While I'm not about to say there's some grand conspiracy out to silence me or Sarkis, I will freely say that mentioning a preference for a certain thing in the wrong circles will sure as hell get people trying to discredit you or shut you up. The best part is they're usually the people who...

The flaws of RO2's leveling system

Oh I don't know, the fact that it had something special? It was the only game of its sort, and while RO2 is not quite at the CoD/BF level yet, RO2 is distinctly watered down. If you find a good niche nobody else is competing for, then it makes sense to hold it down, not try and tackle much...

The flaws of RO2's leveling system

There are a handful of things the whole community likes to see. You already fixed one of them with coloured text chat, there are a few other similarly gameplay-style-neutral things which everyone can agree on, but as soon as the issue of design comes up? Welp. I personally would start with...

The flaws of RO2's leveling system

Trying to satisfy everybody is kind of the whole reason we are in this situation to begin with, just saying. If the game had stuck to its existing niche, the community would not be split three or four ways over every issue, and certainly not over such a wide spectrum of them.

The flaws of RO2's leveling system

There's also the issue of how people can be said to 'earn' anything when all it takes is a bot server and a great deal of patience, WoW players would be great at this game!

The flaws of RO2's leveling system

I play plenty - in fact I've racked up more hours in RO2 than I did in RO1 by something like double by Steam's reckoning. I just so happen to have had expectations (which were set by things Tripwire said running up to release, not some unreasonably **** view of how things 'should be') which were...

The flaws of RO2's leveling system

I was going to make some kind of post arguing my case, but the last page or so has been a great reminder that the only things that matter on these forums are edgy one-liners and people who think that everyone else is just whining because they don't want to have to 'earn' something they a)...

The flaws of RO2's leveling system

Unlock systems are nothing more than pointless gimmicks in pretty much a huge majority of games they appear in. Occasionally, one game bucks the trend by having an unlock system which adds interesting new avenues for tactics based on weapon builds, like BF3 (where today I saw a guy build a...

Weapon shot out of hand, let's bring it back?

Unless they were an American or British sniper (equipped with the specialised leather marksman's sling), or a machine gunner from any of the major participants in WWII, not likely at all. Infantry rifle slings didn't have a whole lot of slack in them. Perhaps submachine gunners would have...

    Regarding new maps

Barashka without infantry transports will sure as hell be interesting, and not in a positive sense.

Weapon shot out of hand, let's bring it back?

Shooting terrible snipers' rifles out of their hands over and over to watch them flip out was pretty much the greatest thing and I personally cannot conceive why anybody would have wanted to remove it in the first place

    Regarding new maps

I know I'm a giant whiny baby and not a game designer and all that, but a friend brought this up in Steam the other day and it was simply too true for me to sit on. I have to wonder why a remake of Barashka was chosen as a new map. Now, let's ignore the fact Barashka is nowhere near Stalingrad...

Lets leave "CS" kind of score-board behind and move on.

Just revert to the RO system of showing overall scores only, not kills or point breakdowns. There is no need at all to show how many of each kind of point a player has, let alone how many kills they have, in a game that is supposedly meant to be big on teamwork and more about the big picture...
