Howdy, I'd just thought I'd point out that Silent Hunter 3 only had 48 votes and still had a score of 7 (I think that's right for the game, it had some issues but it was still fun)

Statistical analysis states that the bigger the population sample, the more accurate the data will be. For instance, if 4 people voted on an issue, with two voting a 1 and 2 voting a 5, the score would be 3. But over time with multiple votes the score may even out to a realistic level.
I certainly wouldn't think 200+ people got on meatcritic just to downvote and troll. Judging by the score of nearly 7, I'd say most people voted objectively; if we follow your thinking the score would be 5 or less.
