its incredibly unlikely but maybe a mod team will try to make a story based single player campaign?

Unlikely indeed, creating a worthwhile story driven game is, on todays game engines, and with what players expect of such a game thease days, the absolute hardest thing a modteam could try to tackle.

It's not physically impossible, it could be done, but it is very highly unlikely that any team will manage to do it.


This sort of stuff was easier in the Doom engine days, a lot easier..
