Heroes of Stalingrad Official Steam Game Group

edit: i'm looking at that screen again and that panzer. why would there be a static of a brand new, undamaged tank just sitting in the road with infantry around it? looks pretty drivable to me

If its a static mesh now that doesn't have to mean that it won't end up as a drivable model in the future. Aka it could be posed there for a screen shot, and basically the animations and code etc might not be done yet. Then saying that it is a static mesh would be speaking the truth.

that's what i was thinking as well. in order to get a driveable vehicle, it's still got to have the static mesh first for textures right? that way John can say its a "static mesh" without lying and without yet confirming drivable tanks. that beautiful, undamaged tank just happens to be in this screenshot makes it quite obvious that the scene was staged to show off some tanks :)

Where have you seen such Red Army uniforms ? I dont say about colours and etc. The main point is that Nobody was carrying kettle in the battle attached like this. Tripwire makes the same error while adding poor quality models from some **** references.
Have you ever checked references like below ?

Bear in mid that that all this gear was carried only in marching order and not in battle. Take every authentic veterans memoirs - the only stuff soldiers were carrying were ammo, large amount of nades and spade. Thats all, because everyone running with a kettle, greatcoat roll and ets would be an easy target.

PS Sorrt for my bad English

Now Im a big realism fan, but seriously? A kettle?

Oh noes! :D

Actually from realism point of view it is quite important, as it can easily make enough racket to be heard from 50+ yards away. Trying to crawl around with something going "clank-clank-clank" would give you away pretty fast.

But then again, we could go and wonder about how you're going to hear something like that under battlefield conditions as most of the participants have their ears ringing more or less etc :D
