Why is Steam doing this?

Hey,

I am starting to get extremely annoyed with steam.
Ok, it started off when I was playing a totally legal disc copy of "Stronghold 2" (No mods to any of the files) and I added it to non-steam games so i could chat with my friends.
About 5 minutes into the game steam randomly disconnected, so I quit steam and tried to log back in where it says "This account has been disabled" :confused:

I send a support ticket and valve replied

"We have found activity in your Steam account related to piracy. Per the Steam Subscriber Agreement, we have disabled your account and any games contained in it. It appears that you have obtained Stronghold 2 through Game Copy World.

In addition to violation of contract, activities on your account may violate federal law and state law. If such activities persist, Valve reserves the right to refer the matter to authorities."


Now this isn't true at all, I had a legaly purchased versions without any mods to the exe (steams not suppose to monitor your computer or files anyway)

So what I did was I send another 5 support tickets to valve proving that I had purchased it but they closed every single one, then they ignored my email to valve, and then they closed my forum post on the steam forums. :mad:
