My two friends and I just purchased Killing Floor and I have a few others who were going to ask us how we liked the game before they purchased it. When loading the game I noticed that I could have a couple of friends try the full game for free for a whole month (now that's awesome and a great selling point). So how do they get the game? Do they use my disk to load it and try or do they download it from steam??
So how do my friends get a copy of the game to try out for free?

I don't know what you're talking about when you say they can play it free for a whole month, but you might have guest passes to give out that will let them play for a few days. In the Steam window click "Games" and then on "Manage Gifts and Guest Passes" to see if you have any guest passes to give out. Then just send them to your friends.

LOL where did you get this impression that it would last for a whole month? That would be pointless, there are people out there who play games less than a month and dump it, so I dont see how it would be a good idea to give a whole months tryout period lol.

...When you buy it...it's yours. Have you ever heard of owning a car for a month because you ONLY bought it? Unless you can't afford to make the monthly payments on time.

But that is how MOST PtP (pay to play) MMOs work. You buy the game and you get 30 days of playtime, after that you have to buy another 30 days if you wanna keep playing.
