RO:HOS Demo?

yeah free things are always nice to have, but getting something like a video game that barely any play anymore is not really that attractive. this is the message i will attach with my gift, "here you go friend, try this game out and HOS will be even better......oh, but watch out for those bots and servers with 210 ping cause that's all you're going to be able to play with."

for having a demo - yes
open beta testing - yes

for an "extra" for preordering, a discount would be nice but a free copy of OST just doesnt seem like that big of a perk. what about at least including some guest passes for HOS to give to friends? at least they'd have people to play with/against. if they get a copy of ROOST and there's nobody playing (nobody as in not a lot) what kind of a sign is that for them?

I think people should arm themselves with some patience. I know it is hard I also can not wait for more official info.... but I got something that will help you cope. Just go and play "Captain Forever" (here: http://www.captainforever.com ) a "ultra-realistic" :D space combat simulator with some of the most sophisticated ship modulation options I've ever seen. It is more addictive than farmville and mafiawars combined!

p.s. no I do not play farmville nor m.w. but all my friends do...

Your PC will NOT be able to run it, and it will be released on your birthday.

If you want me to tell you about [insert random aspect of the unknowable future], I can do that too.

Seriously, the only guideline you have for performance at this point might be the U3 engine in general, but common sense should have told you that.
