Not entirely related, but I wish there was a "foward stab" animation instead of the regular "side swipe" for the knife.

It defiantly is a KA-BAR couldn't tell you what sort though, I had one with the serrated top edge that I picked up in Poland.

There was a forward stab animation prior to one of the previous updates to the game when they re-timed when melee attacks hit.

Anybody who knows something about fighting with a knife knows that stabbing is very situational. Most attacks and defence are sweeps.


BTW I too wanna know which knife it is so I can buy it.

the knife animations were awesome in the mod when you pulled your knife out he would flip it in the air and catch it, a little over the top so i can understand why it was taken out, but it was cool nonetheless.

I picked up one of these knives and I am surprised by the extremely high quality. http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.18253 If you were to buy this in a store, it would easily be worth over $50USD. It's made in Germany. I'd like to know what brands this knife is sold under.

Pretty sure the knife is a fantasy knife. I've gone to gun and knife shows my whole life and never seen a combat knife with such a blocky serrated edge and skinny slick handle. The serrated edge is almost always on the bottom towards the hilt, and the hilt would need to be much thicker for appropriate push/pull power as theyre meant for stabbing and cutting through bones in close quarter combat.

i honestly dont think so! for that you would need a sawback machete like the one i sleep with:

Yes it is possible. The technique used with the knife was to reach from behind and pull it into their chest between their ribs and pull hard upwards and itll cut through their ribs doing massive damage.
