Windows 7 64bit and KF

I can't get it to work, it won't launch at all. This is the error I get:


I've tried deleting the KillingFloor config file, but it seems to do nothing. I also deleted it again and tried the verifying integrity option in STEAM, but nothing works

I'll try deleting and re-downloading, but I doubt that will work either.

You should either re-download or check the integrity of the game, I got this when I messed with some KF files, so there's something corrupt there.

I tried that, as well as defragging and verifying integrity. Anyone else have any possible solutions?

Is your in-game resolution set to the same as your desktop?
This can be done through the KF ini. file before launching the game.

Might help/might not.

Just did that - still won't work. Same error message. It seems this goes down a little further though, since no games via STEAM will work at all.

Crysis ironically works and is as smooth as butter.

Is it under the system folder? And it's a txt document correct? I opened it up and it was blank...

Will try that later I got to head off to work.

Deleting my blob file didn't work either, same error as my first post. On top of that, I now also get a runtime error.

I'm gonna do a fresh install of Windows 7, everyone wish me luck!

UPDATE: A fresh install worked, KF runs great now. I finally get to play KF again, it's been almost a week without KF!
