OMG SOMEONE PLEASE HELP THIS IS MY MAP FOR THE CONTEST NOW I CANT WORK ON IT WITHOUT HAVING THIS ERROR :(:eek::(:(:(:(

PLEASE HELP im so mad now that im crying i worked to hard on it

In the future, please label your topic with something descriptive along the lines of; "Error when I try to open my map." so the forum stays organized and people can actually get a small understanding of what's in the thread. Imagine if every question thread just started with "Help!?!?!". I think you'll agree that it would all get pretty confusing around here. :)

As others have said;

- Check your autosaves
- Try an earlier version that was working
- Always make external backups of your work

Okay, if you've tried the above and have not found a fix here is the way to fix this problem.
Load up the map and wait for the error message, then go to File -> Export and save file type as Unreal Text. Next open up the file you exported in notepad and do a find for what is causing the error message, in this case

History: AActor::UpdateRenderData <- Brush myLevel.Brush33 <- IterateOverActors <- RenderLevel <- myLevel.myLevel <- FLevelSceneNode::Render <- FPlayerSceneNode::Render <- UUnrealEdEngineraw <- (Cam=U2Viewport0,Flags=871270089 <- UWindowsViewport::Repaint <- UEditorEngine::RedrawLevel <- WEditorFrame::OnCommand <- WWindow::WndProc <- WWindow::StaticProc <- MessagePump <- MainLoop

One the find has complete there should be a section looking something like the following (the only bits that should be the same are in bold)

End Actor

You will want to delete from Begin Actor Class=Brush Name=Brush33 to End Actor. Save as something different and the file type must be set to All Files (*.*) and encoding to ANSI.
Then load up a new map and go to File -> Import and select your saved file. This should (and always has for me) work. You will be missing any imported texture/ static meshes in the myLevel package though.

KEEP ON TOPIC IF YOU HAVE AN ISSUE WITH THE PERSON PM THEM
THIS IS CALLED FLAMING! AND ADMINS WILL DEL AND REPRIMAND :mad:
I HAVE NO PROBLEM REPORTING TO ADMINS

Im glad you got your lvl working BTW ;)

They aren't flaming him, they are however pointing out he has the illegal, pirated version of Killing Floor, If anyone should be reported it should be the topic poster...

The guy putted his acc in private so that people who aren't friends aren't able to see this, which just makes him very suspicious...

Just because he set it to private doesn't mean he has something to hide. He doesn't have to prove he is innocent.
As for the non-steam-game evidence, if I test a mod I also start the game with a shortcut to the .exe with a modified command line. That doesn't mean I didn't pay for my Killing Floor.

Let's not jump to conclusions here. He was accused, if the devs care enough to find out, let them do it, but we as a community should not start a witch-hunt here.

While I do not agree with his tattletale "I'm not afraid to report you" attitude I have to agree with Dragonfel666 here that this whole affair has no place in here. If you want to discuss it with Sexy Meat, write him a PM. If you want devs to investigate, write them one. But don't discuss this in public and ruin his reputation with something you have no proof of.
