Did anyone ever figure out a way to fix just being able to look at the start up picture? i know quite a few people had this problem a while back and was wondering if someone found a fix.

Like, when you first start up killing floor it has a little picture of a swat looking guy and a zombie, and that is all i can look at. No error or anything it just sits there.

1. how much hard drive space do you have? also, post your system specs. like ram and cpu speed and size.
also, be sure to defragment your hard drive and do a verification of the killing floor files by going into the game properties on steam

Ive done every trick for every problem that I have seen in the forums. I have 2gb of ram and 2.4 Ghz Pentium 4.

I know this is an ugly solution, but someone reported that reinstalling Windows fixed this type of issue. If you are willing to do it, please give it a shot.

From our experience, this does not seem to be a problem on our end, but rather a hardware, drivers, Windows, and/or Steam issue. Very few people have had such a problem and some have fixed it through various methods, such as reinstalling their Operating System. Unfortunately, there's just not much that we can do as we have never had the problem on any of our machines.
