Gore Level?

Hmmm I just noticed this in the .ini file...

GoreLevel=2

Can anyone tell me what level it can go up to and what significance it has or does it even work? I'd love to know if increasing it to even 3 or 4 would add more speciman blood and brains splattered everywhere. =)

unlikely there is a higher setting. 0 is for no gore, 1 is for reduced gore, 2 is full gore. Checking the code most likely will confirm this.

Actually for me there are enough limbs flying around, the only thing that would be cool if you could saw the specimen into little pieces with you chainsaw

Its also in the level properties on the sdk.The maximium is 3 but mine was set to 2.Not anymore xD

Does this actually work i was trying this out for a recruit of bls's whome wishes to get this game but his parents arnt a fan of the huge amount of blood.But i didn't see that much of a difference....Is their a way to take it a step further and lessen the gore a tad more?

I think if it was set to 0 there would be no blood. Try it out

i did play it with 0 gorelevel however their was still some blood....

They broke the code.
Gorelevel has little to no effect.
There was no reason to do this for them.

I mean..if the game is 16 or 18+...no need to get rid of gore. If it's still too much don't play. xD

Well it appears that GoreLevel does remove a lot of violence effects, but I can't tell if it removes it entirely.

And if some gore remains, there is always a way to get rid of it, but only through mutators.
