I wonder if these will be the only "teams" we can play? Because in and around the battle of Stalingrad various countries armies were involved.

Romania, Hungary, even Italy and Croatia (But, granted, the Croatian unit used German weapons) Having access to those uniforms and new weapons would be awesome.

Add alot of diversity, extend the gameplay for multiplayer maps etc. Even if in single player they intend for you to stay as a german soldier, having the other armies in game is only going to add more valuble content that would get used...


Opinions? ...At the very least Romania should be added. :rolleyes:

Can hardly blame them though, under equipped, undermanned, overstretched light infantry vrs a heavilly tank backed offensive. They even asked for renforcements and were refused. :eek:

But yeah, Romanians are very important in the battle of Stalingrad.

actually afaik the romanians repelled wave after wave of russian infantry, with TONS and TONS and TONS of artillery and tank support, for serveral hours
untill the frontline broke off course

pretty good if you ask me :rolleyes:

As seen from the various, great and professional mods it's not a good solution. There's alot of work gone into RO mods, but try finding a server for them.

All that work and no one can actually play with it.

Lolwhut? Do you even have the mods? you need MN and DH inorder to actually SEE the servers.
Although the CC Fightnight last night has a poor attendance, Mare nostrum is still being played (albeit by limited numbers) but the MN fightnight attracts a pretty decent crowd. Darkest Hour 70% of the time has a decent number of players in any server.

Yeah, I have the mods. Should I rephrase that to "a server with actual players"? Try finding an active CC or MN server. "limited numbers" is quite an understatement. I've only ever played 1 match with other players on MN and that was 2 other guys. The fact that these mods need organized "fight nights" to get people to join 1 server for a few hours 1 day a week says alot about how dead they are, no?


The only "active" mod is DH, because it brings in the US crowd and even then there's really only 1-2 servers that actually have people. The 29th infantry division's server is the most active one, while it's almost empty most of the day at peek times it gets full loads of 50 players. They have the bonus of being a clan and so organizing meeting times etc which helps keep the server generally healthy.


In the grand scheme of things though, it's not exactly great is it?


The sad thing is, the fact that they're dead isn't due to people disliking the mods or not wanting to play them. People enjoyed these mods but quite simply no one wants to sit on an empty server waiting for people to join. Not enough people even know they exist.




Romania lost 160,000 men at the battle of stalingrad. "someone can make a mod that will die like CC did" dosen't really do them justice.:eek:




Not only did they fight various exciting battles and skermishs outside the city, they had a great deal of troops trapped inside the pocket too.






Edit: To prove a point the only server online at the moment from any of the mods with players is the 29ths server in DH, it has a wopping 3 players. "Lolwhut" indeed.
