Tactics Aiming For The Head

Currently farming Sharpshooter perk (Easily the hardest out) and I thought I'd elucidate the location of the head hitbox on the different zombies-but-not-zombies:

Stalker: While invisible aim above the shimmer when she's facing you. This is the hardest hitbox to get used to because it's invisible.

Crawler: Aim where the head connects to the body. Crawlers also tend to hide behind other zombies-but-not-zombies so make sure you have a clear shot.

Siren: While the head is visually unambiguous, it's also the smallest of the zombies-but-not-zombies. Take her out at range with Xbow or just blast her down before she screams.

Clot: Compensate for their waddling walk.

Gorefast: Snipe before it charges or fire at will after charge, probably the easiest to get a headshot on.

Poison: Their heads MUST explode, or they don't count. Typically, I found that the sweet spot is always the forehead. Aim for that, and you'll blow them to pieces. Also, it might be worth mentioning that you can easily solo this out if you throw on the clot or bloat mutator. You still get credit for achievements and perks, and these are the 2 slowest enemies. Bloats tend to be easier to get headshots on (as they move slower and have the largest heads), but make sure you don't get backed in to a corner. I kited a group of 45 of them around west london after my friend got cornered by them.

You sure about that?

Commando is pretty freaking hard. You can only use the Bullpup. For level 3 you need to deal 500k damage with the Bullpup and kill 600 Stalkers only using the Bullpup. Takes a freaking long time.

I have to agree with this. Sharpshooter is hard (Is the only Perk I use.), but Commandos have to kill a certain amount of Stalkers to level up.

When it comes to headshots, I figured that if you aim for their upper forehead, it will be a headshot. The easiest way to do this is with a Crossbow at long range (Of course), or with a Desert Eagle at close range.

Commando is the hardest because there is no mutator for only stalkers. The most stalkers I have seen in a (solo) round is about 20. This mean a LOT of rounds to level. By contrast I can get 200+ headshots in a round (20 clots a wave, 10 waves). It's easy if you turn on the berserker perk and use a winchester on beginner. I stopped this because it was boring and I'd rather level while playing the game, but it makes it much easier.

here is the easiest way to get sharpshooter up, use a single handcannon and a rifle(dual handcannon counts as shotty), play a solo easy game and just let them come right up to u, head shot like 75% or more depending if u don't suck lol, u can get lvl 2 in like a single game if u play it right, higher lvls just use rifle at range then pull hand when ur out of ammo or they get close

huh, I honestly don't think Commando is that hard. i understand it's impossible to get enough money every wave you play but I usually get a bullpup and shotgun together. i start with bullpup, when i need a quick blast, shoot that with the shotgun. also, bullpup tends to run out of bullet easily if you don't conserve the bullets.

sometime, I play with Support Specialist and carry both the bullpup and the shotty. start with shotty, when I see stalkers, shoot them with bullpup. i had to get used to switching weapons frequently at times but I leveled my commando perk up to Lv. 3 while I was in Support Specialist perk. by then I already had 800k dmg done with bullpup.

I guess it depends on your play style. and I have to agree, getting hundreds of headshots while the game wouldn't recognize the headshots is pretty frustrating. I'm on Sharpshooter Lv. 2 and I kinda quit (not really) after a little bit. I still mess with it but it's no longer my main perk.

don't get discouraged or anything because of what I said since it's just my opinion.

Tip with the crossbow, I've experienced that the scope was made for long range. Whenever I use it at closer ranges, with the crosshair right on the head, the bolt will often fly right over their head or hit their shoulder or something.

At long ranges, aiming just above the head works great, I got a triple headshot that way :D

The enemy you headshot needs to DIE from the headshot for it to count. If the head explodes, but they don't immediately drop, it doesn't count.

Frustrating on higher difficulties, where even a lowly clot can often wander around without a head. Higher levels of Sharpshooter seem to make enemies surviving a beheading less likely, but it still happens and it's irritating...
