the selection of weapon sounds arent based on any era or anything like that, they all have different characteristics that will probably have some imput on the different playback models im investigating.

i greatly appreciate your participation, i will try to explain further when im done with my paper where i have all the conclusions of the survey etc.

as stated earlier, this has NOTHING to do with TripWire at all, this is a study im conducting for my exam paper, nothing else.

Actually one of those weapons was used in WW2 too i think, the M3a1 (if i rememer the name correctly).
It was called the grease gun i believe, and the weapon sound is exactly that of Brothers in Arms Earned in Blood

I tried taking it but they all sounded the same to me... then again I'm neither a gun "nut" nor an audiophile. Didnt want to mess up your test by answering "completely convincing" on every choice so I bailed

I tried taking it but they all sounded the same to me..

I had to concentrate hard to spot differences, and didn't spot any on some of the guns :/
Then again, I've a cheap headset...

The only real differences I noticed between any two samples was the consistency between all shots sounding fine and the last shot sounding cut off.
