Why bother even selling the game if you're going to censor it that much? Reminds me of how they replaced every marine in Half Life with freaking robots so no one would have to see blood.

censor it that much? They've just edited the cover, that's it, from what I know.

I think that if they went as far as to censor the very cover of the game, they likely censored the contents too, seeing as it is about the hungry undead eating the flesh of you and 3 other friends.
But I'm just speculating. If I'm totally wrong, then that's great. Doesn't make their decision on the boxart less silly.

I'm sure it's more then that. In the censored version of TF2 gibs were replaced with unicycles and rubber duckies, so anything is possible. Perhaps the zombies will be replaced with senior citizens who feebly try to gum you to death.

The SP demo comes on the 11th November.
And the German cover can be turned around and then you have the "normal" cover and the shops asked for the less gory cover

That's a smart move with the cover. Shields the eyes of innocent by-passers and still allows humble customers to savor the joy that fumes from an image of a dismembered finger. Everybody can be happy.

Was reading on the official forums that you only get emailed a key if you pre ordered via gamestop or similar. Steam pre orders should have it added after you restart steam, though there are some people disputing that.
Good timing for me as im taking my laptop to my gf's flat tonight meaning that I can leach of her net and >1mbit/sec steam dl speeds compared to my 60-100kbs speeds
Oh and someone whos connected to steam atm should set up an RO/L4D group if there aint one already.
